The Rainbow After the Storm (Heavy Rain RP.)

Norman turned around. He gasped and walked over to Sam to pick up the lizard. "See? Ok...Zayden found a bird and a crane," he pointed at each person as he spoke their names. "Ethan found a dog, and Sam just found a lizard...this is getting weird." Norman turned to Carter. "Now you think it's worth investigating?" Carter just rolled his eyes, making Norman moan. "Can't you listen to me for two minutes?! Look! Three people found origami figures--just like the ones the Origami Killer left-- in the span of three days. What do you think now?! Coincidence?!"

Carter shook his head. "No..no, this is..this is a lot of things to process."

Norman nodded. "Yep! What are we gonna do about it?!"

"Well we sure can't do anything tonight!" Carter retorted.

"Why not?"

"Just look at Sam! She's half asleep!" They all watched Sam yawn.

Norman sighed. "You're right...we all need a good night sleep. Everyone, if you see anymore, call one of us. Ok? Bring the figure in as soon you find it, please. This may not be over yet..."

When everyone had spanned out and began walking to their cars, Norman got his cellphone out and dialed Madison's number. "Madison? Hey..." He smiled. "I need you. I actually need you to drop me off at my hotel, if you don't mind." He yawned. "Hm...4:00 am. Great! Thanks! I knew I could count on you!" Norman smiled, hung up the phone, and sat on the rock wall beside the station, waiting for his ride.

Too tired to realise what was going on, Sam rolled back onto the uncomfortable couch. This was the longest night - or even morning - she'd ever had and it was a little too much. The caffeine had worn off from the countless coffee's she'd drank, there was no origami figure to jab her or no rain to upset the mind. Sleeping wouldn't be too hard, right? Before Sam could think any more, she fell asleep, a light shivering on her skin and a tiny smile on her lips.

Madison was there in what seemed like a matter of minutes. "Hey Norman! I called out, after lifting my helmet up a bit. "Where's your hotel? Oh yeah, I didn't know if you heard me or not, but I did say I was interested in someone."

Norman smiled. "Hey, Madison." He jumped off of the wall and walked over to the bike. "I thought I heard you say something as I was leaving." He chuckled. "Um, it's on Gateway Street." Jayden told her, smiling. He put on the extra helmet and held onto her tight. "So...how has your night been? Mine's been stressful." Norman rolled his eyes and let out a loud sigh. "Not the hanging out part. I liked that." He chuckled. "Thanks, Madison, for picking me up. Not many people that I know of would go out at 4:00 in the morning just to drop someone off at their hotel." Norman smiled. "It means a lot...really, I'm so tired I don't think I could've walked..." He laughed.

Sam tossed and turned, trying to get to sleep. She sighed heavily, hugging the thin couch pillow than balanced on the cushions. "Blerghhhh," she groaned, knowing she was sleepy no longer. When was the last time she actually fully slept for more than three hours? Or ate? Geez, she just realised she hadn't been eating. What was wrong with her? Sam pushed her thoughts aside and hit the old couch, deciding to try and sleep. No such luck. She lazily shoved her shoes on and went for a walk in the damp early morning, seeing the sun slightly rise above the ruined walls of houses.

Carter wasn't watching where he was going and almost ran straight into Sam. He gasped. "Sorry. I wasn't paying attention." He laughed, which was rare. "So...where are you going? " Carter asked. "Sleep well?" He asked, commenting on her appearance.

"Of course Norman! Yeah us hanging out was really fun.. We need to do it again sometime. I really would like to get to get to know you better.. I-if.. you wanted to get to know me.. I'm totally up for whenever you want to hang out! Give me a call anytime. I'm usually not doing much." Without thinking, I grabbed Norman and hugged him.. as a sign of showing my interest in him. I was still too shy to say it outright.

Sam kind of halted and stepped back quickly, relieved to see it was only Carter. He was the only one except from her that stayed in this late anyway. "Heh, my sleeping schedule is a little unbalanced right now," she smiled weakly, her eyes still half open. "Or it's that crappy couch in the office. Egh, whatever, I couldn't pay my rent, so I have no one to blame but myself I suppose."

Norman laughed. "Of course I would love to hang out with you again!" He hugged her back. "Hey, how long until he get back to the hotel?" Jayden asked with a yawn. "You being a speed demon and all, I would assume we're almost there?" Jayden chuckled. Did she just hug me? Norman slowly smiled. "You know, Madison...I don't know what it is about you, but I feel like I can talk about anything with you, you know? And that...my stress has gone away a little." Norman smiled at her, still holding onto her back tightly.

Carter nodded. "I understand. As long as you don't get in trouble with Captain Perry, you sleeping here is fine with me...going somewhere?" Blake asked. "We need to talk about this Origami Case..." He nodded to the stack of papers in his hand.

"Y-yeah. It's not a case I wanted to exactly come back to," she sighed quietly. Sam sat back in the closest chair, her breath slightly increasing as the sound of rain echoed in her ears. She nervously fidgeted with her shirt, trying to look as casual and calm as possible.
