Maggie x Tarue - Brightheaven and -Bel-

"This place is amazing!" she said, her eyes scanning the area. "Let's take a quick rest before we go back." she said, smiling as she starting jumping onto the lower branches lightly until her paws touched the ground.

"It is very beautiful and awesome." He said, then followed Maggie down, until they were sitting side by side.

Her ears perked as a twig snapped. Her heart beat accelerated as she watched the other side of the lake carefully, sub consciously scooting closer to Tarue. "Did you hear that?" she asked, her gaze not once leaving the other side.

Hearing the crackle right after Maggie said she heard something, he nodded slightly and looked around, hoping to see what it was. "Yeah, I heard it.. want to go check it out?"

"Uh...yeah..." She hesitated slightly before carefully walking around the lake on her tip toes, pretending to be a spy or secret agent of some sort. She looked around, hearing another snap, causing her to jump and make a dive for the nearest bush. She peeped her head out, only her forehead, ears, and eyes were in sight. "Pst, come on Agent Tarue!" She whisper yelled.

Tarue laughed and whispered, pretending to have a wakitaki "Coming right away Agent Maggie!" He followed close behind her and around the bush, curious to see what it was. The noise was constant, so the thing would be easy to find.

She jumped out of the bush she dived in, shaking most of the leaves and twigs out of her fur. "Agent Tarue, I see something! It's a...turtle?" She tilted her head to the side, taking a few steps closer as the turtle stepped into the light. "Look how cute he is!" She coo'ed, reaching out to pet him. Her eyes went wide when it stretched it's head out and snapped it's jaw open, nearly biting her paw. She took a few slow steps back. "I think we should make a run for it, agent."

He peered down at the turtle and jumped when it tried to bite Maggie. "Yes, retreat! Retreat!" He turned and started to jog over to the tree they had come from and waited for Maggie, laughing and thinking about what just happened. "I bet there are plenty more turtles down there." Tarue said as he pointed at the lake.

She followed closely behind, but slowed down and walked to the edge of the lake, peering down. "I wonder how mny turtles are down there..." She said, her voice quiet. She jumped back up when she saw a turtle swimming towards the surface, noticing the other turtle coming towards her. She dashed up the tree, almost like a squirrel, until she reached the top branch, covering her face with her tail.

Amazed, Tarue watched as Maggie leaped gracefully onto each branch on the tree, and followed. Once he finally reached where she was. "That's like turtle heaven" he said.
