Could you please pray for something? It's not life or death important, but it's important to me. I don't really want to share too much unless it goes through. There is an opportunity for me to get something I really like (that's normally expensive) for a really good price. But, it's a really short notice thing and it depends on me getting a message from someone on another site. If no one decides to fill my request, I won't be able to get it.

I will understand and respect it if it's not God's plan for me to get it, but right now I'm just going crazy with the unknown.

I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

God has blessed me with tons of good things lately, and I'm so thankful.

Hey, nothing has to be life or death important to have any significance! Don't be so shy, if it matters to you, that must mean it has some degree of importance, which makes it important to me as well!
I'll definitely pray for you! I know how nerve-wracking the unknown can be. :3

Someone answered my request and offered to get it for me! I feel so blessed right now. Thank you for praying!

I will make sure to pray too! God bless.

christianity questions? :)

Postby chloebabes98 » Sun Jul 21, 2013 5:56 am

I really hope this does not come across as offensive to anyone, but I was brought up as a Christian and have always tried my best to be a good person, but recently I have begun to come up with questions that my mum wont answer (she gets upset that I'm questioning Christianity). so I was just wondering if there where someone had some answers to my questions :)

1. if god made the world in 6 day where did the dinosaurs come into it?

2. wouldn't ALOT of people go to hell?

3. why would god want people to go to hell?

those are just a few but I would be really grateful if anyone could give me some explanation? :)

*I really hope this does not come across as me trying to make people questions their own religion I'm just curious! :) thank you! :D

God doesn't want us to go to Hell, he wants us to accept Jesus as our God and Savior. Hell is where people that don't accept Jesus go. God doesn't want us there.

Okay, question three.... my territory.
God does not want people to go to hell. Why would you want to send your children to such a place? God loves all people, sinners, atheists, people who worship other Gods, every single person on this planet.
Sadly, not everyone can go to heaven. Think of it this way, there is a key. The only key to unlock the front door to heaven. The key is the belief that Jesus died for all of our sins and that he is God. If you can't get into heaven, you're vulnerable for attack. You're out in the open, and who else is there to take you? Satan. If you aren't under God's safe roof, Satan's going to come and take you, and us being dead, we can't really do anything about it, and Satan takes us to hell.
So it's not really God condemning us to hell as much as it's not being allowed to go into heaven and therefore being dragged to the only other place there is to go after death.
But that is only my theory. I, sadly, don't have much proof of it, but thinking rationally, I believe that is the answer. It's the answer for me, but if anyone has any better answers, feel free to tell me and I'll look at it and compare it to my own

Question two....
Yes. That is sadly how the world works. Not everyone is willing to take the key and cannot unlock the door with their own they've forged. It really makes me sad and I bet it makes our creator even sadder. But that is how it works...

Question one...
Dinosaurs were there the whole time. The Bible doesn't talk much about dinosaurs, but they were there when God created all other animals. I don't know how they died or when even, but I do have some lovely friends who can help you out with their theorys.

For future, please post on this thread here to get more attention and help from fellow Christians. ^u^

Question 3. Yes, God does not want us to go to hell, nor does He send us there. God has done everything He possibly can to keep you out of Hell and still leave you as a person with free will and not just a robot. That's the way He made us--after His image, after His likeness, the power to say “yes” or the power to say “no,” the power to reject our own Creator, and of course to take the consequences.

Question 2. Yes a lot of people go to hell. Probably more go to hell than to heaven. Also, you don't have to be an "evil" person to go to hell, you just have to discard Christ. Lots of "good" people go to hell because they don't want to believe Jesus Christ is real. We are becoming more of a society that needs to see to believe, and unless they see God himself they won't believe he is real. Sad I know, but true.

Question 1.
God probably created the dinosaurs along with the humans. Because remember at first humans and animals lived in harmony together? A lot of them probably evolved and the rest died out in the flood maybe.

Re: Christians on CS!

Hello, I have some questions that I'd like to ask. c: I've never been officially sure on Christianity.

1. Are god and Jesus the same people? I've always been confused on this because there was never (to that I am aware) a back story for god/reason for his existence. That's always confused me and lead me to think that they are both the same people.

2. I celebrate Christmas, Easter and all other holidays like that but does doing that make me a christian or do you have to go to church/read the bible etc to be a christian? Because I'm not sure if I am or if I'm not a christian.

3. What if you don't believe in Satan? Do you still go to hell? How do you know if you believe in god?

4. I believe in reincarnation and a few other gods. I think I believe in god/Jesus. So would still go to heaven?
I hoep I'm not offending you with any of these questions! Thank you for your time. c:

I don't post here a lot (mostly because I'm not a very faithful believer, and that I believe in things like gay rights, and evolution, which is rather argument sparking in some cases), but I just wanted to pop in.

Turtlez; I'll answer those question to the best of my ability with my opinions

1. It is stated in the Bible that if you know Jesus, you know God. I think that God's presence in Jesus is very prevalent, but that they are still two different entities, because I personally believe that Jesus always had the opportunity to sin (living in a human vessel, and such), but never did due to His loyalty to his Father, God. I kinda get this impression from when Jesus cried out "Father, why have You abandoned Me?" (quoted from memory) when He was on the cross. To me, this means Jesus did doubt God for a moment, and if Jesus doubted God, how can they be the same entities? But I could be easily misinterpreting Jesus's words.

1. Celebrating holidays alone does not make you a loyal believer. To me, it doesn't take much to be a Christian, but what you really should strive to do is to be a true believer. Religion are organized by people and followed by people, and are easily corrupted. I personally believe that one shouldn't focus on conforming to a religion, but instead the deity (or deities) they believe on. Avoiding on going on a tangent, I'm going to say that neither celebrating a Holiday, nor reading the Bible or going to Church alone makes you a productive follower of God. Instead, one must do the things that are listed in the Bible (which you do not have to read to know), like love thy neighbors, pray for and love thy enemies, exc. It is what you do for others that makes God smile upon you. And always remember: It is not anyone's job to change someone's beliefs, no matter how well intentioned you are, but is it always your job to love others, despite their differences. If you believe someone is not going to Heaven because of their refusal to believe, then the best thing you can do for them is love them, support them and give them the best life they could have.

3. Hmmm.... I'm all for interpreting religions (especially when based upon personal belief, fact and science), but not for drastically changing the basic concept of the religion. I can see why someone would not like to believe there is a Satan, for it is a very cruel concept, but the thing that Satan wants you to do the most is to, one; Joke about him and two; Believe he doesn't exist. However, it isn't really my place to say whether one's beliefs are wrong or not.

4. Ah, reincarnation. I've always enjoyed that concept myself, even if I never believed in it. This question is very hard to answer, because like I said, I do not like challenging other's beliefs. Personally, I do not think God or Jesus would like you worshiping deities other than them, especially if they are pagan (since the Bible has always stated that worshiping nature is a sin), but this is coming from someone who never believed in anyone other than God or Jesus, and I can not personally say what is the will or viewpoint of God.

Also, I do not think your questions are offensive. I think it's very good thing to ask questions that are potentially controversial, because if you don't, who else will? People are too afraid to ask questions like those these days.

Amy; I'm glad for you! Congratulations you c:

1. Personally, it could've been where He created all the creatures that roamed the land.

Genesis 2:19 (HCSB)
So the Lord God formed out of the ground every wild animal and every bird of the sky, and brought each to the man to see what he would call it. And whatever the man called a living creature, that was its name.

2. Yep, that's the sad truth. But I'm a Christian, but also a Unitarian Universality with a "Christian twist"; hard to explain.

Matthew 7:13-14 (HCSB)
Entering the Kingdom
13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the road is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go through it. 14 How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it.

Matthew 7:21-23 (HCSB)
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord! ’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to Me, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in Your name, drive out demons in Your name, and do many miracles in Your name? ’ 23 Then I will announce to them, ‘I never knew you! Depart from Me, you lawbreakers! ’

3. God doesn't want people to go to hell, His will is for everyone to go to Heaven. But He does give us a choice.

Joshua 24:15 (HCSB)
But if it doesn’t please you to worship Yahweh, choose for yourselves today the one you will worship:the gods your fathers worshiped beyond the Euphrates River or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living. As for me and my family, we will worship Yahweh.”

John 3:16-17 (HCSB)
“For God loved the world in this way:He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world that He might condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.

Titus 2:11 (HCSB)
For the grace of God has appeared with salvation for all people,

2 Peter 3:9 (HCSB)
The Lord does not delay His promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance.

But it's up to the person to accept the gift of God, which is grace and eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Revelation 3:20 (HCSB)
Listen! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and have dinner with him, and he with Me.

I hope this will help you. Remember, don't try to comform the Bible to your beliefs, but comform your beliefs to the word of God.

God bless you,
Gaotau
