I know empoleon had pretty good moves.Though every time i battled my brother (he had pearl) he used his infernape and it was much quicker than empoleon. So he used fire moves because empoleon is also steel :c. Anyways yup the old ones looks like fun i want to play saphire or pearl but its hard to find them. Anyways have you guys noticed it gets easier to complete the journey on newer pokemon games.I think its because more kids are starting to play them. More kids means they have to make a easier for them i guess

Naala how on earth would you find the patience to capture all 649? o_e The most pokémon I've ever had on my game has been 150 which have included doubles/triples etc.

I didn't need that much time to complete the Unova Pokédex (a week maybe) and I got many pokemon for the National one through GTS. Many are also Evolutions so you don't have to catch that many.
It's my first try to complete the pokedex (I only catched 20 or sometimes 50 in the previous games), since I thought I can't complete them anyway also because I couldn't trade online before I bought my 3DS and because I mostly used 6 pokemon anyway.

Dude, most of us who played the first generation of games when they came out were kids. We played them in the schoolyard with our friends-- kids were the ones to play the first games in the first place. The entire cultural phenomenon that spurred during the first and second generation of games was started and continued because so many kids were playing the games, watching the anime, buying trading cards and other merchandise. The original games were played by mostly children; your theory is wrong because kids have ALWAYS played Pokemon, ever since the games were first released.
Pokemon began as a series for children, at least from the advertising. Pokemon can be played and enjoyed by all, yes, but you are completely wrong in saying that "the games are easier because more kids are playing them." The entire storm that was the Pokemon craze was baffling to most parents and adults, and even young adults. Kids were the ones who started the massive sccess of Pokemon during the first generations.
Part of the reason the newer games can be finished "faster" is literally because you can PLAY them faster. Until you got the bike, and even then, the speed of movement was very, very slow. There are also less problems that exist in comparison to the older games. I'm so sure you know about how Psychic type Pokemon were incredibly overpowered because of both weak Bug Pokemon and the coding issue with Ghost type Pokemon. The games have been polished over the years, that is all.
In short: you're idea is really freakin' wrong. I'd point out how you seem to know very little (or nothing) about the history of the franchise, but you seem to have proven that already.

Its typing is awesome, and heyy, it's based on a friggin' squid x)

But I'm so, so unsure whether I should get X or Y now :c
I wanted X at first because Xerneas seems super awesome, but Yveltal's typing really makes me want it. Like, really, really.
So now I'm torn .-.

I never really cared to complete my pokedex. Dunno, I'm more happy when I can just train my favourite pokemon and that's it xD
I attempted to complete the dex in Emerald, but grew bored rather quickly. *shrugs* I'm just no collector xD

I personally prefer Kyogre and Rayquaza :3 -Pets Shiny Kyogre and shiny Rayquaza-
