OMG that poor momma to the Christmas Tree "puppy" D: I'd be beggin' for a c section with that one. ^_^

I have a new couple. Beckah has just joined the pack and Sidney has absolutely fallen head over heels in love with her crazy fuzzy butt.

I quite like this pair and their personalities <3

It seemed as first that the sky was falling as dark blue detached itself from the heavens and plummeted to the ground, adorned with stars.

As it began to level out and swoop towards me, I caught the sight of wings, a sharp beak, and dark, beautiful eyes.

Those eyes were the first thing to make me realize who this was. The female I had known so many years ago was a soft grey shade, and the transformation to this creature of the night was outstanding.

I lifted my head slightly and caught her gaze as she landed nimbly on a branch, a few feet away from me. Pale yellow eyes watched me with curiosity and confusion, and my heart sunk as I realized she did not recognize me.

But, then again, why should she? Dull, dark grey feathers had changed to black and vibrant auburn, my new form so much different than my first.

Both of us were silent for what seemed like an eternity, and I saw a dawning recognition wash over her features. Eyes slipped to the scar beneath my proudly curved beak, where my throat had been shredded in battle.

The killing blow in my lifetime.

“Iltani.” I spoke her name quietly, and her suspicions were confirmed, eyes shining with a light of happiness. How badly I had missed that look in the years of my death.

No more words were needed. She flew a short ways to sit once more by my side, and I followed her gaze to the stars.
