Hello & welcome to the home of the WET- Water Elemental Taphantes! Taphantes can be compared to a large lizard or a dinosaur, but are not dragons. It's pronounced Taf-aunt-ayz. You can adopt these amazing creatures right here, and involve them in many activities! The come in all shapes, sizes, and colors and are a wide and diverse race. However, there is much you need to know about WET before you begin adopting.
WET Specialties
Each WET has a specialty, the ability to control one element of water. There are 6 different specialties a WET can have.
Generic Water
This ability is the most common. WETs made with this ability have control over bodies of water; they can control tides, waves, etc. The most powerful of the water specialty can create tsunamis and great tidal waves. However they cannot make any storms, or whirlpools- their magic is far to weak. The more evil and relentless WET with water ability often drown their opponents by forcing water down their throat. These WET have a puddle of water circling the tip of their tail.
Ice
WET with this ability can freeze water and control frozen shards. This is a rather common specialty, but not as common as water. If the certain WET has mastered their skill, they can also learn how to partly cool objects instead of just freezing them; very useful for iced coffee, yum. They can also spread ice. These Taphante have shards of ice floating around their tail.
Rain
This is a common ability; WET with this can summon rain fall. they can change the direction of the downfall as well, and can stop downpour immediately if they find it necessary. WET with incredible skill with the rain ability have been known to summon thunderstorms as well, though no one has been able to for hundreds of years. These Taphante have rain clouds circling their tail.
Whirlpool
The rarest of all the abilities, despite it being seen often in WET. Taphantes with this ability can start large whirlpools & other related storms such as a typhoon when most powerful. Extremely powerful WET with this talent are considered extremely dangerous, and not often tamed because of how easily they can cause millions of dollars in damage. These Taphante have a whirlpool of water circling their tail continuously.
Dew
A less common ability, but weak as well. sometimes called an 'immature water', this abilities allows WET to sprinkle things with a spray of dew-like drops. This specialty is more often seen in females and invokes a more tentative, shy personality for some reason. WET that have been able to master this ability can summon little droplets on items like plants. however that is only for WET of incredibly strong talent in the dew specialty. These Taphante have permanently dew-splattered tails.
Mist
This specialty allows WET to create a blanket of fog that surrounds themselves and things around them. They also can breath mist and move it around as they please. If necessary Mist WET are able to dispel a cloud or fog, and can see through them. These WET are considered the most dangerous not because of their ability to fight but because of how easily they can conceal themselves. The Taphantes have a spray of mist around their tails.
Drought
A genetic error that can only be reached through breeding. A Taphante with this syndrome has no magical ability at all, and is considered 'dry'. These Taphantes are extremely rare and nearly unheard of. WET born with this error most often die within the week. These Taphante have nothing decorating their bare tails.

WET Strength Levels
Depending on the WET and the lineage, a certain Taphante may be more powerful than others. There are three levels of strength; weak, intermediate, and strong.
Weak
Taphante with this strength have little control over their power at all. These Taphante are often discarded by breeders and are unwanted because of how little power they have. For example, an Ice specialty WET with intermediate strength is probably able to freeze ice cubes or cool down a drink. Some Taphante with weak strength, with enough points, will 'upgrade' to intermediate.
Taphantes with Ice, Rain, Generic, and Dew have 2 pts.
Taphantes with Whirlpool & Mist have 3 pts.
Intermediate
Taphante with this strength are good at what they do. They are usually good enough to perform simple actions and are quite common. For example, an Ice specialty WET with intermediate strength is probably able to create ice shards from water and catapult them at an attacker. Ouch. Some Taphante with intermediate strength, with enough points, will 'upgrade' to strong.
Taphantes with Ice, Rain, Generic, and Dew have 4 pts.
Taphantes with Whirlpool & Mist have 5 pts.
Strong
Taphante with this strength are powerful and masters of their specialty. They are usually good enough to perform amazing acts of power and are valued for their strength. For example, an Ice specialty WET with a strong strength is probably able to split a glacier or turn a rainstorm into hail, with the aid of a Rain specialty WET. Taphante with strong strength cannot upgrade.

Taphantes with Whirlpool & Mist have 7 pts.
