He looked down at his paws, "Actually no, they all think I'm too skiddish and I'm a runt." He admitted with a shrug. He scuffled his paws softly in the dirt with embarrassment.

Asami felt a sting of guilt. The she cat sat down and sighed. " Okay your right I was once a kitty pet. And no I'm no fighter. I don't even have claws, but don't tell anyone. Please! I'll be in danger if you do."

He blinked, "How could you be in danger? The clan wouldn't care but, well come on, I'm sure Eaglestar would be happy to let you join." He offered.

Asami looked at him. " Let me join? She won't want me. I won't be a help. I can't really even catch prey. I'm like a scavenger I steal other's prey."

"Well you could help the medicine cats, or help in the nursery." He suggested kindly.

Asami smiled. " That would be interesting, but I don't know. I'm scared to trust." she said gently, but calmly. The she cat realized his gentle tone and realized Jumpingfoot wasn't all that bad.

He smiled reassuringly at her, "come on." He encouraged with a kind flick of his tail.

" I don't know about being a medicine cat helper. I heard the cant have mates and helping means I'll probably get the same rules. I couldn't stand not having a mate, but what am I saying? I'll probably never get a mate. Who wants to be mates with a she cat with no claws?" Asami says. Asami was a pretty she cat, but the fact of having no claws made her see very low of herself.

She sat up and smiled as sparrowpaw and flamepaw ran off to find the others. "Where's stonepaw I think he should hear it with the others" she purred and nuzzled tigerclaw.

Flamepaw stopped running outside the apprentice den. She paused and looked at Sparrowpaw. She smiled, watching him for a few seconds before walking inside the den.

He blinked, his heart going out for the she-cat but he could understand where she was coming from, especially with his small size and skiddish nature. "There are plenty of toms out there and some would understand. And well if you don't want to be a medicine cat helper, you can help the queens in the nursery and watch the kits and stuff."
