I hear a yelp near the bushes behind me, and I turn to investigate what it was. There appears to be another loner in the area, and I'm actually surprised. This is the most I've seen in awhile, but I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing. My attention goes from this new loner to Poppy, who got scared with the new arrival and is once again hiding behind me. "Hello?" I ask cautiously, she doesn't look like she's threatening us, but you never can be sure.

Slowly she rose, her ears went back to their pointed state, but her eyes still remained wild as she looked around her. "Hello?" her voice was soft, but it also seemed pained... she had never really spoken nicely to another dog before, nor had one not threatened her in a while.

I'm not exactly sure why, but something urges me to be kind to these strangers, rather than threatening. They both seem very weak, and I pity them for that. That's one of the best things about being in a pack, although there is no guarantee, you almost always have food and support. Right now, though, our pack is lacking in both. While I can find enough food to keep me and Poppy full, most of the time, it is hard. "My name is Midnight, and I am the alpha of the pack here, Forest-pack. Who are you?"

"My name is Aikita, I'm a stray from the city" She said quietly, almost ashamed to say it.. it was obvious though.. what not with her skinny frame and unkept fur. but she still was displeased in saying it.. ever since she had been thrown on the streets.

I nod. "My pack, back in its prime, had lived in the city. I find the forest to be a much better place to live, though." I watch her body language carefully, she looks ashamed or embarrassed about something. I don't see what she has to be ashamed of, though. "My pack is very small right now. We are looking for warriors to help our pack flourish." I explain. "You may join us, if you'd like." I wonder if this dog has ever had a pack before? She's from the city, I have to wonder if she was affiliated with Moon-pack at any point.

Aikita perked her ears, "really?" this is the closest thing she has gotten to an actual "friend" or whatever you may call it... she had her own smaller band of dogs she met up with several times a week to help her with larger meals, but even they weren't friendly, she was only their partial leader because she new the streets the best and was wiser. She hadn't really had a civilized conversation, and she didn't know what to say to the generous offer.

Kyran eased up out of the barrel he slept in the night before, and stretch, flexing his powerful shoulders. He sniffed deeply, wondering what was happening in the city. The big male stopped, scenting a group of dogs. Curious, he padded over to check it out.

Tyler crept up behind a hot dog vendor. The human seemed flustered about something. While his back was turned, she jumped up to grab a hot dog. She clamped her jaws around the warm meaty stick, but as she turned to jump back down, her foot caught on a metal bar. She writhed desperately, trying to get free before the man noticed. Her already matted fur tangled more, and with every movement she made, you could see every bone.
