Brambleheart felt the slave get pulled out of his jaws and hissed in fustration, his fur standing on end. "Come on, Dante!" He yowled, his eyes narrowed. The tabby streaked in the direction that the slave had ran off to, and saw that the trail had abruptly stopped in the river! He yowled in fustration and swiped at the ground with his claws, sending a bit of soil spraying into the water's edge.

Darkriver knew this was it. If he didn't make it into the river he would be done for and die in Bloodclan. He got ready to leap into the cold swift rushing water. He picked up his pace then leaped. He felt the soft air ruffle his fur as he leapt and then excitment rushed over him as he started to feel the cold smooth water drenched his fur. He started to swim with the current but then he turned back and saw the Bloodclan warrior folling him Foxdung he thought.

Dante watched him float down the stream and growled. Darkstar would not be impressed. He turned to Brambleheart, "Shall we head him off?" He asked, thinking the stream may cut back into BloodClan. He tunred again to see more warriors coming and they followed the gaze of the slave as he drifted away.

Darkstar looked down the stream and at the warriors sitting around. "After him you mousebrains!" He cursed. "Theres a waterfall just past the bend, if we make sure he makes if over the waterfall he'll most likely not survive." He pelted off again flicked his tail for sevearl of his warriors to go to the other side of the stream.

Dante's eyes lit and he crossed the stream, over the rocks. But he didn't relaize they were slippery. He slipped in, head under and all. He resurfaced, coughing from the surpise of falling in. The water was bone chilling and the curent fast. When Dante swam for the shore he realized the current was too strong, even for him. He growled, and looked after the slave. He looked ahead and saw the bend Darkstar had told him about. Then, he gulped, the waterfall.

Darkriver looked ahead of him then terror swept over him. A waterfall was up ahead. He started to swim for the rocks near him. He clutched to one of the rocks for dear life. Clawing into the trying to hold on and not be swept away by the current. He then noticed the shore was about a good 3 feet away from him. He then tried to clutch rock after rock trying to make it to the other side. Then he was almost there. Almost to the shore. Only 1 more rock he thought but then another thought striked him. If his paw missed this rock by the slightest amount the current would sweep him away towards the waterfall. He then reached for the rock. He had made it but barely. Now all he had to do was pull himself up on shore and he could run for the nearest clan segment. Freedom he thought in bliss.
