Zayden took the money gingerly, opening the cash register and placing it where it needed to be. He glanced up, looking at him through his bangs. "Yeah, I think we've met before. I used to work with you, actually." he clarified, popping his fingers. "You know, on that one case. I believe it just recently was over, actually." he said.

Norman smiled and laughed. "Yes...yeah, now I remember you. How are you doing, Hendrix?" He nodded. "And, uh...yeah. The case went well, actually. We caught the Killer. We still haven't identified the body, yet, they're working on it." He repositioned. "I actually got a new partner, his name is Carter. Let's just say...we don't exactly see eye to eye." Norman smiled and chuckled lightly, remembering what Carter had put him through. "So, how are you?"

Zayden shrugged gently. "Pretty good, I guess." he said quietly, running a hand through his hair. "What about you?" he asked, blinking. He really was curious about how he was handling the whole thing; considering he didn't stick around for the entire case, it didn't have much of an effect on him. "Oh, yeah, I heard about that. That's good that you guys caught him. Really good." he murmured. Carter..no, he hadn't heard of him. Perhaps one day they would cross paths, although with that description he wasn't so sure that he wanted to.

Norman smiled again. "I'm doing good. Great even!" Norman's smile faltered. A lot has happened since he last talked to his old partner. They've both changed, not by much, though. Maybe Norman looked a bit different than what Zayden was used to. "You know...Zayden, we really should catch up. I'm in town for a couple more days, heck, maybe even longer. It's been a while since we've seen each other." Norman put a hand up to his head. "You still have my cell number, right? Well, Hendrix, it was nice to see you again." He grinned. "I better be going, it's getting late. But, we really should talk again soon." Norman shared a smiled with Hendrix before thanking him for the gas and pushing through the door out to his car.

Sam looked around, shielding her eyes from the sun and trying an odd corner. Her files were balanced in her hands as she managed to smash into someone who was exiting a store. Samantha pulled back her head and swiped some documents from the air, leaving the others to fall to the ground. She went on one knee, picking them up as she apologised to the person she'd walked into. Sam lifted up her head slightly to see it was Norman Jayden. She wasn't sure how to feel. Sorry because she'd smacked into his face, or awkward because he was one she'd "observed."

"I just need to stop by the store really quickly and get something easy to make for dinner." I thought to myself while cruising the streets on the way to my apartment. I turn onto an alleyway that I know will take me there faster than just the main streets. I shift my weight and turn into the parking lot, where I see a man and a woman, frantically gathering up their things, like they ran into each other on the sidewalk. I put my kickstand down and dismount from my bike. I reached up and tugged my black motorcycle helmet off of me, and I could feel the sweat from underneath it becoming cold with the air. I wipe my face on my sleeve, cringing at the very thought, and I turned my attention back to the two on the sidewalk.
