Kelly smiled when Starfish entered the room, the look of her tussled fur pleasing. "Good morning sleepyhead, I didn't want to wake you up, so I thought I'd surprise you." He reached behind his back to get the gift he had gotten her, a seashell lamp he had found at a garage sale the previous day. "I was walking home, and I saw it, and couldn't help but think of you.

Starfish gasped with delight.

"Oh, Kelly," she said happily, taking a few steps forward. "It's absolutely lovely! And this breakfast..." She sniffed deeply. "It smells so good, and it looks so...perfect!" She beamed, her face radiant. "This is what I'd like to wake up to every morning," she said, little warm tingles running through her. She gently took the delicate shell lamp from him and set it on the kitchen counter. "You definitely didn't have to do that...this is going straight in my bedroom after breakfast!" she babbled, her happiness disjointing her brain slightly.

"I'm so glad you like everything!" Kelly exclaimed, motioning for Starfish to come and sit next to him. "I tried pretty hard on them, I hope I did alright. Also, I wasn't sure if you would mind, but I used cool whip instead of whipped cream. Tell me how you like it." Kelly waited anxiously to try his crépes, as he wanted to wait and take a bite the same time as Starfish.

"You're so sweet," said Starfish in delight. She picked up her fork and sliced a small piece off other crépe, the strawberry jam oozing out of the thin pastry. "I'm sure cool whip is fine, although I've never tried it!" She held up the fork to her mouth and then looked at Kelly expectantly.

Kelly just laughed shyly. /What? You're not shy!/Why am I being so meek and nervous?/ "Oh, yeah!" He took off a piece of his breakfast, holding it up to his mouth. He was having a really good time already, he enjoyed Starfish's company. "One... Two... Three!"

"...go!" Starfish finished, taking a big bite of the crépe on her fork. The strawberry jam melted in her mouth, tangy and sweet at the same time, complimenting the delightful texture and flavor of the delicate crépe. The cool whip added an extra touch of refreshing lightness over the top. She chewed for a second, an expression of bliss on her face, closing her eyes.

Kelly popped his bite in his mouth, placing it on the center of his tongue. The flavor was incredible, it was blissful. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, the scent of strawberry reaching his nose; but he was pretty sure it wasn't from breakfast. "What do you think?" Kelly mumbled through his mouthful.

Starfish chewed happily on the bite of crépe, letting every bit of flavor escape inside her mouth before swallowing.

"This is...absolutely...phenomenal!" she said, beaming at Kelly. /The most perfect breakfast food ever...and I'm eating it with the perfect guy!/ She grinned and let the last bits of strawberry flavor seep into her taste buds.

Kelly beamed when he heard Starfish's reply, taking another bite before going into the kitchen. "Is milk alright?" He shouted into the kitchen, pouring himself a glass in a cup decorated with a starfish. He got another glass out, waiting for her reply.

"Milk is fine," she called back, feeling guilty for letting him do all the work. She took another bite of the irresistible crépe, using a scrap of it to mop up the jam that had spilled out of its fold onto the plate. It was hard to stop eating--had she forgotten how good crépe was, or had Kelly just made it in a different way? she wondered.
