~Kate~
I think about it for a moment, it does sound kind of familiar. "I don't think I've ever been in the basement, but I think my father had."

[Trynaety]

He nodded and moved to the table and sat down, thumbing through the journal. He was serious about the basement, somehow feeling as though there might be somthing very useful.

Eli looked at him, then looked at Destiny before looking back at Kate. "Do.... Have you seen what those creatures look like?"

~Kate~
I look at Eli. "Um... yeah.. Some of them. The dog like ones stay near the mansion, like they're protecting it almost, but when you're away from the mansion.... when you're away, you don't see what attacks you. It's more of... I don't know how to explain it. I haven't been physically attacked by something while away from the mansion, but you feel like you're being watched all the time. Things happen, like... one moment you're somewhere that you've been a thousand times, you know what it's like, then the next it's changed in some way. There's a new cave, or a tree that wasn't there before. I've never been hurt by it, but it doesn't let you forget that it's there."

[Trynaety]

Eli seemed to turn pale and she leaned agaisnt the counter. Joe scoffed a little and looked at the door. "Its just an animal. It needs to be taught who its master is." He said rather rudely. He looked at Kate and then back at the door.

Shawn looked up and sighed. "And I suppose you want us all killed?" He asked. Joe just glared at him.

~Kate~
I nod, "We wouldn't stand a chance. Besides, we probably shouldn't go looking for it. Don't want to invite it to hurt us, or challenge it."

~Destiny~
"I agree. We can hardly fend it off when it comes for us, how would we do on the offensive?"

[Trynaety]

Joe looked at then and tapped the side of his brain. "My unkle used to work with wolves, and taught me everything I need to know about taming some dog. And if it is a dog, it shouldnt be doing this. Just takes some good man handeling!" He said.

Eli shook her head. "Its a creature of myth Joe, I dont thionk you would stand a chance." She said and looked at the ground.

"I agree with her, I have never seen anything like that in any book, in any non fiction animal book of canines." He said and sighed.

I nod again "I said dog-like It's no chihuahua. Bigger than house dog, maybe the size of a wolf, I don't know I've never seen one. But a lot stronger than any of us ever will be, and it knows that."

[Trynaety]

Joe sighed. "Its an animal, it can be tamed!" He said and walked to the door. "Simple." He said.

Eli looked at Destiny, afraid what he means. "Thats rediculous!" She said and stepped away from the counter. Shawn looked at her, a little surprised that she stood up for her belief. "Those things with tear you to shreds!" She said and put her hands in her pocket. "If you purseed with this tast at hand, you will be killed... its a 90 percent chance! Taking in all the factors that could happen, in the land we dont know, odds are against you!" Joe didnt move.

~Destiny~
I would back up Eli's claim, but I've said everything I could already. I couldn't add anything new, and besides, if Eli doesn't convince him no one will.

~Kate~
I just shrug, he can go if he wants. "It's your funeral." I mutter under my breath. He really thinks that much of himself? That kind of thinking gets you killed.

[Trynaety]

Joe looked at her and put a firm hold on the door's handel. "I want to do somthing, and I just feel like a spare tire. You guyes to on and find food, I'm going to tame those dogs." He said and looked at everyone, then left.

Eli felt sick and sat on the ground, wrapping her arms around her legs. Shawn watched him leave, then looked at Destiny. "I cant go after him... " He sighed and rubbed his head.
