Mandy looked down.

Mason looked at her. "You couldn't even tell me about this?" He asked. "Last time I check it's the father who gives his daughter away, not her brother."

Shane rubbed her arm.

Anna was sitting with Mya. "You okay?" She asked.

"Well, when the father drops off the planet for a year before the wedding without warning, he looses that privilege," she said.

Mya looked at Anna. "I'm sort of scared, but I'm sort of happy," she whispered.

"The father never loses that privilege." Mason said.

Maria sighed, tearing up. "Then where did you go for a year? You missed Vincent's first birthday, and Trin's fourth. Mom won't talk to anyone but Myles and Anna, and the kids. Mark cries himself to sleep because he thinks it's his fault. And now you come in and crash the one good thing that's happened in a year."

"I was in a rehabilitation center, then saw your engagement announcement in the paper." Mason said. "It looks like you guys did fine without me."

Chloe looked at Myles, trying to figure out what wad going on.
