Devil grazed contentedly with his herd, before he trotted to Evergreen. Quietly, he started to groom her, as she had some dirt stuck in her mane from last night.

Evergreen looked up at Devil and nodded. "The herd is growing. That's good, isn't it?"she said. The mare slowly laid down again.

Devil nodded. "Yes, it is. It is quite a large herd now, so I might stop gaining mares for the time being, seeing as it might restrict our mobility..." He said softly, but he knew that when spring came, he wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Spring was a season of instincts, when the heat scents barely made him think rationally. No matter, a big herd was a good herd, right?

he nuzzles her gently to welcome her

he trots around, occasionally whinning, trying to find a few mares

Bolt trotted in the shadows, watching Devils herd for a worthy mare to snake.

he eyes Devils mares. they looked easy to snake

he walks to Bolt and asks "Should I go on the other side"? he shoots a look at the mares. they all seemed to be pregnant. Demon hated to be stuck with foals that wern't his. He could take care of them easily though.
