What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

Why this name?:
I needed something to do with her design, but I couldn't call such a beauty just Prism! I decided to translate Prism Rainbow to Spanish, and I got (roughly) Prisma Iris. It fits this beauty perfectly, I think <3

My favorite color of a rainbow is a deep, ocean blue.

I choose this name because it means light in Japanese. An I think that it fits this little Mutato.

In this design, there is a crystal with light shooting it, causing a rainbow. Well, as I make this form, my favorite pastel are right next to me. The brand of the pastels is 'Prismacolor'. That gave me the idea for the beginning of the name;
'Prisma'. I got the bottom part of the name from my sister, who loves to call the rainbow a "shiny color dae". I have no idea what is a dae or why she calls it, but she called the rainbow it, so that helped me come of with the full name, "Prismadae".

Why did I choose the name Floyd? Well,
mostly because of his body/main
design. His main design with the
crystals and the rainbow? It
reminded me of the Pink Floyd
prism. So immeditely the name
"Floyd" came to mind. Plus Floyd
is just an amazing name. c;
