{ Kelly }
Kelly sauntered along happily, the rustle of plastic in his pouch. He was on his way to a hose not too far from his, a house owned by a friend of his owner's. Blair, his owner, sent him to entertain the Bean that lives there; Starfish. She had a phobia that rendered her very unlikely to leave her home, so they both thought she needed some well-deserved company. He had brought with him his sister Jenina's Xbox, along with a few games, and several of his favorite board games. He saw the pretty house just ahead, and pranced up to the door, wrapping on the door when he reached the porch.

Starfish was busy sweeping the floor of her seaside cottage. After a baking disaster, the carpet was littered with eggshells and whole wheat flour, and that really wasn't the impression she wanted to make on her visitor. Seeing as she didn't get many visitors in her out-of-the-way home, she wanted to do her best for the beans that did come to visit. She had prepared sugar cookies and tea, which she had laid out in her nice plates on the kitchen table, and turned on all the lamps in her house. Lamp collecting was kind of a hobby with her, as she preferred to keep the many wide windows of the cottage tightly curtained.

{Kelly}
Kelly waited anxiously on the porch, a bright light filtering out of a small slit between the curtains in the window by the door. He tried to peep in to see if she was home, but the curtains were too tightly shut. He rang the doorbell and waited for a reply.

Starfish jumped and dropped the broom, letting it clatter noisily to the floor. She quickly picked it back up and stood it in a corner, then rushed to the door. /He's here!/ She skidded over and halted, then took a deep breath and opened the door. The little bell hung on the handle rang charmingly as she smiled breathlessly at the newcomer.

"H-hello!" she said. "Are you...you must be Kelly, right?" Her ears flopped as she glanced at the visitor, then at the floor.

Kelly heard a clatter inside and hoped everything was alright, but to his relief, the door opened a moment later. He smiled at the breathless girl before him, a little breathless himself to say the least. "Yeah, I'm Kelly, you're Starfish, right? I was hoping this was the right place." Kelly was quite stricken by the girl's modest beauty, a striking face hidden by a thick door; until now, of course.

"Yes, this is Starfish--I mean, me." Starfish giggled, still a little bit out of breath. She risked another glance at the visitor--Kelly's-- face. She hadn't expected him to be so...handsome. She stared up at him for about a second. "Oh! Where are my manners? Please come in," she said suddenly, showing him indoors. /Goodness, I'm a mess! Pull yourself together, Starfish!/

A small chuckle escaped Kelly's lips as Starfish giggled; it was the cutest, and he couldn't help but laugh along with her. He didn't know why, but he normally was so level-headed around other girls, but now... [Aahh, that's crazy,] he thought, following her through the door. A glimmer caught his eye, and he looked to see a pretty starfish charm dangling from her tail. "What a gorgeous charm, where did you get it?"

"Oh!" Starfish twitched her tail, the charm dangling from it. "My mother says she bought it for me when I was a baby bean," she explained. "Because it matched my eyes and markings! We were pretty poor at the time," she said honestly, "but she said that she just couldn't resist because it fit me so well." She giggled again. "Why, you have a charm, too!" she noted, delighted. /Ahhh, calm down...you're overexcited.../ She took a deep breath, wondering why she was suddenly so fluttery and talkative.
