“You want to be a pirate then lad?”“That's right! The best of em!” The tavern keeper shook his head sympathetically. “The 'best' just ain't part of what a pirate is laddie..” “Those men are ruthless greedy buckets of scum! Why they'd kill their own crew in cold blood if there was a price!” The strong voice echoed around the inn, as several customers hushed to the hatred filled tone. “Take my advice boy and see if you can't get a job as an inn keeper.. it may be dull as your generation puts it.. but it's better then a slit throat and an empty pocket by far..” He swung his mug, consuming the last of the rum as the squabbles, chatter, and laughter reined throughout the tavern once more. The boy left the seat with a nod of recognition that the conversation was over, but a smile remained in his eyes. His dream was to be apart of the air, on a soaring pirate ship, whose occupations were to be free, going wherever they wanted rather then needed. Sure there were a few adjustments and obstacles to overcome but it was worth it in the end. To be apart of adventure itself.

So who are you? Another passerby without a thought of what the future holds? A troublesome individual with a history of regret and tears? A humble traveler without so much as a grain of hate for another? Not that it matters. As long as you have a sturdy hand and a strong heart for thrill. The Doll's Eye is running short of a crew, and it needs it's workers.. and whether or not they want to go is not a concern.

I'll do either. I'm usually pretty good about making forms, long or short, but the more connected I feel to a character (if that makes any sense) the more I will write and therefore have a longer form.

Also - sorry to all my role plays. :( I got sick a few days ago and the day I recover, we took my dog to the vet for shots and a heart worm test -- which he turned up positive for. We've been running to doctors all day. I'll hopefully have a reply up for everything in a day or two.

I'm trying to join literate roleplays. Not semi-literate. I mean, full-blown, completely LIT. I'm really trying to challenge myself to write more, but it's so hard to find decent literate roleplays nowadays- that is, if I'm finding any at all. umu;;

I'm trying to try to roleplay in different, new aspects. This means, almost anything will go. If you happen to know of any unique, literate roleplays, please let me know. I'd really prefer to have them not started yet. But if that's not the case, then I understand. *^-^*

Form lengths: I personally do not read forms that are over a certain length, and despise forms that include things likes, favourite food and birthday. Come on, I don't need to know that, so why are you wasting my time? On the other hand, I have to make a form in order to keep a character straight in my head. I have at least thirty-characters that I use, and I'm always making more, so it's so easy to be inconsistent on details. (Also, I like reusing characters, so it's nice to have everything there for later). As for pretty forms *shudder* I like my simple ones, thanks. As far as requiring long forms... yes, it's used to keep Mary Sues out, but I generally just keep to club-only roleplays, when I make one (which is rarely) to avoid that. *shrug* People I trust to be creative don't have to prove their originality to me.

Music: Am I the only one here who rarely listens to actual bands? Most of music has no words, and the ones that do are usually like, one per album I like, at that. I don't have any favourite singers and while I'll listen to everything, it's rare that I'll regularly listen to something with words. Sure, I love Imagine Dragon's 'Radioactive' or Ellie Golding's 'Lights' or, ooo, Florence and the Machine's 'Heartlines', but not to write to. I listen to:
