Joie

Joie (pronounced like 'joey') is French for joy. Since this Mutato's colors are mostly bright and cheerful, I think Joie will be a great name for her.

Well, Joie's favorite food would have to be rose petals. Pink rose petals, to be exact. The flavor of rose petals vary on their color (the darker the better) and how they were grown.
The flavor is reminiscent to that of strawberries and green apples; they are quite sweet with undertones that range from fruit, to mint and to spice. Joie prefers the sweet and minty combination as these two flavors taste heavenly. Therefore she only eats pink rose petals which are slightly sweet with a dash of mint.
" The Taste of Velvet "I skimmed across the grass, stomach rumbling, tears flowing. Not from sadness, but from anger and despair. I had just gone - well, sneaked - into a human's house. The human living there had been nice; she used to smile and toss me bits of bread and corn. Just now, I had lingered around her window, hoping for some scraps to placate my growling stomach. The human had scowled at me and opened her window, before slamming in down loudly and quickly to scare me away with the noise.
Momentarily stunned, I had flown off, knowing that the human's previous acts of kindness were probably just to get me away. Well, she succeeded with Mission Almost Impossible. I wasn't going back to that madhouse ever again. Period.
Now I rested on a tree stump, wondering what to do. Maybe I should wander off to another house and wait till the human occupants gave me food...but something told me that would get me at their mercy instead.
Knowing that there was a garden nearby, I decided to wander around there and let myself calm down and collect my thoughts. The peaceful surroundings would help.

"Well, aren't you a pretty little thing?" The human will the strange hat of straw on his head grinned toothily at me as I sat in the great expanse of his hand. I preferred drifting along with the evening breezes, but he had helped me out of a thorn bush I'd fallen into earlier on, so I figured that I should be nice to him.
"I bet you're hungry, eh, little one?" The human said, digging around in the fabric he was clad in. He fished out - WHAT - several rose petals! I stared at the pretty pink things in shock. Surely he didn't intend for me to eat those...
"Here, have a rose petal. They're edible; I eat them for tea every day," the human smiled. "They're sweet."
That was the key word.
I chomped into one without hesitation. It was sweet all right; with just the right tinge of mint that bathed my tongue. The petal was extraordinarily soft too; and fragrance radiated off it.
Was this what honey tasted like?
