time is running out for one of the most egotistical clans to ever exist.
the twolegs are closing in on all sides with structures that cramp space.
prey is scarce. water is becoming polluted. dogs are commonplace now.
and to make it all worse, there's a bunch of loners closing in, tightening
the noose already around the neck of this clan in a valley of oak trees.
they need prey and space too. but this is oakclan, and we don't give up
our territory for anyone. there's no way this will end without conflict.
we must be ready.

➵ oakclan's territory is what twolegs refer to as deciduous forest. its four distinct seasons bring different challenges to the clan. leaf-bare has a lack of prey but fewer twolegs. new-leaf brings fresh herbs and prey, but a huge amount of humans. green-leaf has the same issues. and in leaf-fall, the leaves covering the ground make it difficult to find any plants they may need.

➵ the prey that can be found here are mice, squirrels, occasionally rabbits, and plenty of birds. the herbs are secret, known to medicine cats only.

➵ oakclan's camp is located in a seemingly innocuous clearing in the woods, hidden by tumbled trees and rocks. the cats nest among these obstacles and build their dens up against them. their prey pile is sheltered by an overhanging boulder, and cats often lounge upon a toppled tree trunk nearby - putting them above the rest of the camp as they eat.

➵ the training hollow is, obviously, where the mentors and apprentices train. they learn all sorts of skills there; such as climbing, hunting, fighting, and much more.

➵ a slow-moving stream can be found not far from the camp. it's where cats go to drink and just socialize outside of the camp. however, it's become polluted by all the twolegs.

➵ this section of forest, not far from the stream, is where twolegs are most likely to be found. no cat really knows what they're doing.
