Skadi's expression hardened. "I don't belong here.." There was pain in her voice as she backed away slightly. "I never did.. My brothers both found their places perfectly, found love.." She sighed. "But me? Face it Calvin I stick out here like a sore thumb.."

"You stick out but in a good way. A way that makes you unique from the rest." Calvin smiled softly. "If Septimus didn't believe that you belonged here then he wouldn't have made you beta female. You belong here just like the rest of us." he gave her a comforting nuzzle.

Promise krept closer to the female, her temper was quickly boiling over and at this point the female just seemed to be asking for it. "Look I don't even know what it was I said that tipped you off with the little hissy-fit your having here but maybe it would just be best for you to leave if this is not what your looking for." she snarled once more.

Skades flinched slightly, but didn't pull away. She appreciated his comfort. "I could be more than that.." She murmured thoughtfully. Either way, she wasn't ready to go back and face him.

Calvin only smiled slightly,"You know he is pretty weird sometimes, he could just be under a stress of sorts. Honestly I really don't think he ment to yell at you and either way don't take it too personally." he said.

That simple comment sent Promise's temper over the edge, she bit down onto the female's tail and pulled her back. "Can't get away that easy." she snarled through her fur.

"I'm not going to force you into joining a pack and I'm not going to attempt to hold you hostage when you clearly know nothing either. I'm not that dumb." Promise growled as she finally let go of the female's tail. "But what business is it of yours to be so quick to judge something you've never even seen?"

Skades gave him a pained look. "I appreciate the support Calvin, but that's.." She sighed again. "That's not the only thing on my mind.."

Calvin frowned as she looked pained,"Well what is on your mind?" he asked as he curled his tail around his paws. His eyes not leaving Skades for a moment as he was concerned for her.

Promise now lashed out a paw, raking at the female's flank as she walked away. "Call me princess one more time and I swear I will rip you to ribbions." she growled.

"Yeah well you didn't seem so innocent when you where growling at me earlier. Judging by the cut along your neck you don't seem so innocent either." Promise huffed. "If you don't want a claw then get out of the pack grounds."

Skades noticed Septimus as he came back. He looked downtrodden. "Hold on..." She said to Calvin, glancing at him before going over to check on her leader.
