Fallon listened to Jace speak, nodding. Before anything could be said, the lead fighter disappeared into the scrub. Fallon held his ground, he would wait for Lilac to be exposed then make his appearance. Rain started falling, getting heavier by the second 'perfect' it would be easier to split them up if they couldn't smell each other so easily. Just then the wind picked up and changed direction. The hair on Fallon's neck stood on end, knowing they would be given away. He held his ground as Nyx called them out, knowing he was still concealed by darkness. He would stick with his plan, let Jace attack first then make his move. Thunder rumbled in the distance.

Jace held back the growl as the wind shifted and letting Nyx know of them being there. He waited as the brute called out for the, to show themselves. It started to rain and the black brute couldn't help but let a smile cross his face. He waited till the rain was as bad as it was going to get. He charged, nothing but a black blur in the rain was seen. He rammed into Nyx getting him away from the white fae. Jace slid to a stop and wrapped his fangs around Nyx's neck, grabbing tightly around his scruff and holding on to him.

BAM nyx took a hard blow, his pelt skid across the dirt and rocks until he came to a stop in the now mud covered shore. He opened his eyes in a daze, not being able to see anything but a set of jaws open around his neck and soon the pain set in. He snarled and screamed " Run Lilac". Thrashing his body until the attacker let go. He was bleeding from his thick fur, though not severely enough to be too concerned. He jumped to his feet, his eyes still slightly blurred from the shock. Snapping his jaws at the brute and standing his ground. Waiting for a moment, lightning flashed in the sky overhead, giving him just enough light to see the wolves form, he lashed his jaws forward and snapped down on the attackers tail, yanking it back towards himself. Nyx pulled his tail until his footing slid from under him, causing his jaws to come unclasped. He quickly jumped to his feet and stood tall, each paw solid as stone and wide spread " Why are you here!?" He barked, though every work burned his throat. [/color]

Jace felt a sharp pain in his tail which let a growl escape his muzzle. He already had a short tail so it didn't need to be shorter. he turned and watched Nyx as he was blinded by the rain and mud in his face. He heard the brute but instead of a verbal answer he got a painful one. Jace lunged at the brute and went for his throat again, grabbing and thrashing his head when he made contact with the brute.

Fallon tensed, knowing Jace would make his move at any moment. His eyes danced with anticipation as he watched. Visibility was diminishing with the darkness and rain but he saw Jace streak from the bushes and hit the enemy alpha hard. Seeing his chance he shot from his hiding place, leaping into place between Lilac and the two black brutes who were now tangled in combat. He snapped his jaws at the fae, snarling like he had suddenly been possessed. His eyes fixated on her as he moved toward her, snapping at her as he approached, he would drive her away from the other two.

Nyx could not help but whimpered slightly from the pain. He rolled to his back and threw his legs up into the attackers stomach, knocking him a foot or two away from the Alpha. He crawled up, bleeding slightly more than before. As he stood to his paws he heard another bark to the side of him, Lilac stood against a second attacking wolf. He snarled and Lunged towards fallon, as fast as he could possibly run. They made contact, Nyx slammed into him, but did not use his jaws. He stood again and snarled at the two attackers. "Leave! NOW!" HE shouted at the enemy. His rage was far from short lived and he had had enough. [/color]

Ares ears perked up as she heard the whimpering and snarling amongst the thunder. She smiled a sadistic smile and watched into the darkness. What is taking them so long? She thought as she listening to the carnage. She howled, summoning the boys to finish it. Only moments into her howl, she heard an Alpha whimper. Rage grew into her eyes as she took to her paws, running back to the stream in Artemis territory, gaining speed. Reaching the hill she stood over, watching jace jump at nyx. She barked into the darkness. "Get the fae, do not waste strength on the Alpha!" She demanded as she snarled towards jace.

Jace watched as Nyx went for Fallon. He snarled and was about to lunge at the brute when he heard Ares. He looked to her as she told him to get the fae. He looked back to see Nyx attacking Fallon and growled. He ignored Ares for now and went for Nyx's leg and thrashing his leg, hoping to hurt the male so that he couldn't run as fast. He let go and looked to Fallon "Come on." He growled and grabbed hold of the faes scruff and ran for the fields.

Nyx howled from the pain, he hoped that more from the pack would hear him, but was doubtful in that moment. He watched as one of the wolves grabbed Lilac and took off with her. He jumped to his paws but it did not last long, only a few steps was enough to bring him to the ground. His paw throbbed with pain and was bleeding bad. He howled again for Ava, he needed his healer now. A tear rolled down his face as he knew he could not follow after Lilac. He had fallen in love with her, there was nothing at this point that he would not do to save her. [/color]

The Alphess snarled at Jace's disobedience but knew it would have to wait. He would be punished at a better time. She followed the wolves back towards the territory, watching behind them, keeping an eye out for Nyx or any of the other Artemis pack members.

Fallon snarled as he was knocked sideways and stumbled hard before regaining his footing. He heard Ares call down to them and regained his focus. He watched Jace attack the alpha's leg. It was disobedient but a good idea. He then turned quickly and grabbed hold of Lilac's skin, helping Jace to drag her off into the storm, away from her lover. He moved quickly along with the other male.

Jace continued to run thankful that Fallon grabbed hold of the fae to help out. But he heard a voice call out to him. He glanced back to see Rieka there for some unknown reason. He let a snarl out but continue on to get the fae back to Ares.
