Chloe sighed, thinking about the baby again.

"Because I don't like being alone, and my parents are gone until next week." Shane said.

Maria hugged her. "Don't think about it."

"Okay. But we aren't doing anything, and no more beer."

Chloe choked, trying to hold it all back. "I can't help it."

"I need one more." He said.

Maria nodded. "I know," she said.

Mandy crossed her arms. "Open it, and I leave."

Chloe burried her face in her hands. "It hurts."

Shane sighed, tensing as he set the can down. He drank a lot when his parents weren't around because he felt neglected. He'd pretty much been raised by his Grandmother since his parents were on business trips often, but she'd passed away at the beginning of the year. "I need it." He said.

Maria nodded. "I know," she said.

Mandy shook her head. "No, you don't," she said. "Talk it out, drinking won't help."

Chloe sighed. "It sucks."

"I don' get why they have to be away all the time." Shane said.

Mandy looked at him, taking his hand. "Just let it out."

Chloe sighed, getting up and getting her ice cream.

Shane threw the un-open can at the wall, watching as it exploded open.
