Eris' tail flicked as she padded about at camp, inside her den, waiting for the sun to reach a certain point in the sky. At that time, she would be able to signal Edmee and Stormurrin so that they could see their ancestors. The sun seemed to creep ever so slowly toward the ground, mocking her with it's brightness, contrasting from the frigid cold outside. This really has been one of the worst seasons, she thought grimly as she sniffled. She caught a glance of Apocalypse and Pheaca coming into her den and rushed up towards them. "How are you two today?" She inquired. "What do you need? I got more tansy recently."

Pheaca smiled and nudged her mate back with the smallest smile. She couldn't wait any longer for the little pups, but she knew she had to. She nodded slightly. "We're fine, Eris. I'm just a bit tired." The beta carefully sat down and curled her tail around her back leg. She glanced up at Apocalypse then back to ERis, wondering what she should say next.

Edmee laughed and looked behind her to see Stormurinn hardly catching up. Suddenly she stopped when she heard the rushing of water. She turned her head around and saw nothing but water and darkness. Of course there was nothing but water out there. But by how cold it was, she knew it was probably even colder. She stepped forward and put her paw in the water, but quickly drew back with a yelp. “Its freezing!” she barked and looked back to Stormurinn. “Nothing but water... we should head back. We still need to talk to the ancestors.”

Panting heavily, Stormurinn skidded to a stop by Edmee, drawing in deep breaths of the frigid air. He watched as she put a paw in the freezing water, stifling a snort when she pulled it back with a yelp. "Alright," he sighed, turning around. When he finally got his breath back, he trotted lazily through the snow, letting his large paws leave miniature trenches in the snow. He hesitated for a moment, then glanced at her, slowing down a bit. "Are- are you scared at all of what might happen?" He wasn't sure where he stood with his ancestors. On the one hand, he'd been told about them for his whole life. In a way, he believed that they were there... He frowned. [i]What makes them so special?[/b] He figured that he'd see that soon enough, and a bit of nervousness made his legs slow. What if they were mad at him for disrespecting them? He forced his limbs to move faster.
