Calypso Dislikes almost nothing, Although She isnt very fond of cats.

Calypso LOVES treats and grain. She also likes to scratched at her wither. She also loves to be around/ridden by her beloved owner!


Personality:
Calypso Is the sweetest thing! She loves to be around you and gives 3 nickers when you walk in the barn. She is a fireball but is as sweet as can be. Shes the perfect horse for young riders to go ride on the beach with, Or advanced riders to Run Fast Barrel times, Jump jumps, or advance in pleasure classes! She is an ideal horse for any event as she can do pleasure, jumping, Eventing, and barrels/poles! She Honestly loves being ridden no matter the discipline!

Saturday, July 13th

6:00 I Woke up And all I could think about was Calypso!
6:05 Got dressed, ate breakfast and ran down to the barn
6:30 Went and excitedly got Calypso off the trailer
7:00 started aproaching Calypso
7:30 Start bonding
8:00 I was able to touch her!
8:00 Continued to rub her all over her body
9:00 I give her a 30 minute break for being so good
9:15 more bonding
9:30 I try to put a halter on.
9:35 She runs from it
10:00 Finally get her on it
10:30 Im able to lead her!
11:00 Shes turned out into her own paddock and frolics around

6:00 woke up
6:30 Fed calypso
7:45 Got Calypso out of Stall
7:45-8:30 Taught her how to stay still when tied
8:30-8:45 Groomed
9:00 started parelli
9:30 has mastered Friendly game
11:00 We have gone through all the parelli games
11:00-12:00 Lunch break
12:15 teaches calypso how to lunge
1:00 can lunge "ok" but still throws some fits
1:15 Sits in stall with Calypso and gains trust and bond
1:45 Were done for today
My day with Calypso
"BEEP!" My alarm went off and woke me up. I Hit the button and yawn. Today was going to be another day of training calypso. I Jump out of bed and change, then run downstairs and eat a poptart. I Run down to the stables with a pocket full of sugarcubes. I Grab Calypso's Grain and dump it in her bucket. "Nom, Nom, Nom" . Calypso looks at me and i see some grain fall out of her mouth. "Oh Calypso!Your so cute!" i say as she puts her head in the bucket for the last bites of grain. I grab my Rainbow rope halter and tied her to a post. "woah girl, its ok" i coo, But she throws he head up and rears.After a while she accepted it and i started to groom. As a scratch Her neck, Right next to the mane, she sticks hr nose out and shakes her head. "Aww you sure have a scratchy spot" i laugh. By 9:00 I finish grooming and i decide to teach her parelli. First off We start the friendly game. In the friendly game you throw the string of the carrot stick all over her body. This is to help them to not be afraid of me or my tools. After about an hour and a half, She masters that. after that, we go through all the other parelli games. She does pretty good with parelli natural horsemanship. "great job Calypso! now its time for a well earned lunch break!" i exclaim as i rap a sugarcube and hand it to her. I grab a peanutbuttersandwitch and Quickly eat it all. Then we move on to lunging. She throws alot of fits but soon does "ok". When we're done with that, i put herin her stall and just sit with her. We Look at each other and after a while she comes closer and closer. She had a hard workout today so i though she might do this sinch she was tired, But she laied right there with me. Of course, We both fell asleep so when i woke up i had to run home. So yup!, thats how my day with Calypso went.

8:00 start working on parelli 7 games
10:00 Finish groundwork
10:30 Tack up
11:00 Lunge with the saddle on
12:00 Mounts for the first time
12:15 throws some bucks
1:00 Rides smoothly
1;45 Lunch break
1:45- 2:00 Break for Calypso
2:15 we start trick training
3;00 she can smile On command
3:15 Shes done for today and is turned out in a paddock

Thursday, July 18
Due to rain, My schedule was a little off with calypso that day.

9:30-10;00 Practices Smiling
10:00-12:00 We work on bowing
12:15 we get good at bowing
12:30-1:00 lunch break
1:15 w finish the day

Thursday, July 19th
7:00 woke up
7;30 got to the barn
7:45- 8:00 groom calypso (she loves to be groomed)
8;15 I get out an english saddle and lunged her
9;00 she lunges smoothly
9:15 We put some potato sacks on her back
10:00 I get on her
10:30 we pass all the bucking and she lets me ride
11:00 i give her a treat and then shes done today

8:00-10:00 I mount and we go on a trail
(9:30 we go and swim in the pond)
10:00-11:00 We learn to bow.
12:00-2:00 we learn to lay down
Tuesday, June 22
"BEEP!" My alarm boomed. I jumped out of bed, ready for another day with Calypso. I ran down stairs, grabbed a poptart and gatorade and ran down to the stables. I walked into the barn and saw Calypso's head pop out of her stall and greet me with a nicker. "hey gal!" IGiggle. I unlock The stall and slip my rainbow halter over her head. We walk to the cross ties and i tie her. I grab the brushes and brush all the dirt off her. I grab the flyspray and spray all Calypso's legs and her neck. I grab my western Saddle and tack her up. We walk over to the corral And Lunge. I then, put her in the western bridle and we go out on the trail. We walk to the field and "cluck cluck" We start our jog. we jog up the hill and walk down into the woods. The trail is pretty flat so we start a lope. "good girl Calypso" i say as we approach a Pond. We Go back to a walk and She jumps in. "Woah!" i laugh as we crash into the water.We play in the water for 30 minutes and the we head back to the barn. I untack and we learn to bow. Since we master bowing, I figure we may as well teach her to lay down. It takes 2 hours but we finally master bowing. I then put her in her stall and giver her an apple.
