How about we put an Alien twist to the rp.

So it would be beings from another planet that have abducted people from earth in an attempt to save their race. The alien would be forced to mate/marry a human being with an specific set of traits.
This would all be part of an experiment to see if humans and the Aliens species are comparable.

Humans would be put through mental and fiscal tests and so on and so forth
Now this is just I rough daft of the idea.

Okay so I've lately been craving to do a horse/rider rp, but not the type with a riding academy or stables because those just get so boring so quickly and it just turns all the way around so that romance is the hot topic. It's just too generic for my liking.
Anyone have any ideas/new roleplays like that?

As in one player would be the horse and the other the rider? Those are always really fun - but challenging to do. I dislike academy type horse roleplays myself ;3;. I had an idea once, where one player would be a wild horse, and for some reason the rider would capture it - so the horse would have to learn to cooperate with the rider and befriend other horses or whatnot. Or perhaps the rider is trying to run away from something?
I don't even know.

along that vein, you could have people rp the horse instead of the rider? idk, I'm not a penchant for horse / rider rps at all ;;
depending on what you want, you could do fantasy worlds or something. or like, AU, where horses are rare and hard to come by, and they're like commodities ... people that are capable of riding tend to have a serious advantage over others, because these horses are harder to catch or something? genetically engineered horses? idk. IDKKKKKKK.
and then you can have horse / rider gangs and stuff ...

Bi really wouldn't work; my characters don't have any interest in girls and it would sorta defeat the purpose of having a non-straight character. I don't prefer heterosexual romance so

Yeah, the two ideas people had of taming//rare were pretty neat. I particularly like the rare/fancypants commodity one.

I was going to suggest you read one of the Heralds of Valdemar books by Mercedes Lackey. There are horses but they are 'Companions' - easily as intelligent as humans, they 'mindspeak' to their Chosen, have some kind of deep magicish in them (they don't really exert it but can be used to help their humans a bit), they Mindspeak each other.... yeah. The human Chosen and the Companion are a deeply bonded pair with an instant deep love forged when the human is Chosen by the Companion. They work as partners for the Queen after the human (usually a young teen) goes through the education and training required to become a Herald.

Oh, and the Companions are fancypants white with pretty blue eyes and supposedly run way faster and for longer than regular horses. xD

The human typically has some sort of Gift (or multiple), such as Mindspeech, Farsight, Firestarting, Empathy, animal Mindspeech, Foresight, etc, though not everyone has a strong gift or multiple.

Ok, so I have been waiting to do this idea for a while, but it's not originally my idea, and I don't know what to do. Years ago I role played on Howrse, and one of my friends came up with an idea for a role play that never really took off, but I thought it was a good idea. It was about a new mall being built in town, everyone coming to the grand opening, but suddenly the lights go out and the doors lock, and a message comes over the intercom that the people locked inside have been chosen to participate in a government experiment. They would be locked in the mall for X amount of time, basically surviving and keeping alive. Their actions would be recorded for research purposes, and all of the 'employees' have been removed from the mall, leaving the 100 or so bewildered civilians to battle it out for food, water, and whatever else they need. There would be no heat or air conditioning, no lights or electricity, and I was thinking maybe running water in a select few places, since without it things inside a closed building would become rather... gross and filthy if you catch my drift. But I don't want to steal this persons idea, and I don't know how to contact them anymore. So what do you guys think, should I just forget it?

Might I suggest giving credit to the person. It's not fool proof but at least it would be clear that you're not claiming it as your own

Well I have come up with an idea to get permission. The person still has an account on Howrse, though they have not connected in months, and they are still on my friends list. I took a glance at their friends list displayed on their page and found someone who they apparently knew in real life, so I sent that person a pm, asking if they could possibly ask this person to either answer me through them or log into their account, that is if they still kept in contact. I'm waiting on a reply, this person still seems active so I thought I would give it a try.

It took a while but I did end up getting permission from the owner and the person they collaborated with, which I didn't even know about, through Howrse pm. If I do end up making this, would anyone be interested?
