What Is Serenity Shelter?
Serenity is a dog rescue. We rescue dogs of all kinds and rehabilitate them to be able to be adopted. Not all dogs have a nice past, such as just being given up to the shelter because their owners couldn't afford to care for them. Some are abandoned. Some were left for dead. But each one is special, and each one is full of love and ready to share it. We give the dogs the best care we can provide, but nothing beats a home that they can call their own. So are you ready to adopt?

-This boy was found running around a rural neighborhood. We found him with this loose rope collar though, which suggest he may have once been tied outside, however when it was clear that he had no owner, we were able to catch him and bring him in. We've decided he's finally ready for a home.

Scout is a Rebel. He wont follow any rules or commands you give him. He doesn't like rules because he doesn't like the feeling of someone else ruling him.


History:
Scout was a lucky dog. He had everything a dog could want. A loving family, food, a place to sleep. It was wonderful.
One day his family got ready for a vacation. Nothing unusual. They would do this every couple of months, nothing to get worried about. When they left they tied him to a tree in the backyard, gave him some food and water. Again nothing to worry about. They would be back in a few days and that would be that. But as the days went on a thought began to creep into Scout's mind. What if they never did come back? Weeks passed before Scout realized that they weren't coming back. If he waited any longer he would starve to death. So he chewed off the rope that they had used to tie him to the tree and began to run. He ran around the neighborhood searching for his family. But with no luck. More weeks passed, still without any sign of his family. Part of him wanted to keep searching. Maybe if he searched long enough he would find them and they would be happy again. But the voice in his head told him to leave them behind like they did to him. Forget them. So he did and started living his life on the streets not trusting anyone, until he was caught.

Duke is excitable and energetic, he loves the outdoors and running around.
He adores attention, love and hugs and will always try and get them! If you're looking for a cuddly dog duke's your dog, when hes not outside digging and generally being mischievous he's inside right beside you.
He loves to stay close to those who matter to him and will give his life to keep them from harm.
History;;
Duke had nice childhood and was adopted by a sweet family when he was young. Sadly they couldn't afford him so when he was about 1 they left him at a pound, they didn't want him to go but it was their only option.
Later on he was adopted by someone else, they treated him nicely and generally tried to have a good time with him. Eventually they didn't want him anymore so they tied him to tree and left him. He managed to escape the next day after chewing on the rope, he tried to find his owner but they were long gone and had moved somewhere else.
