Here's the poem i wrote for myself that kind of sounds like something Bilbo would say,....

Wanderlust

Don't get me wrong, i enjoy
the warmth and safety of home and hearth,
but sometimes
When the rain falls and all else is quiet
I dream of traveling
to places far beyond
the borders.
To other places, other worlds,
the worlds within my dreams.

Yeah, i do a lot of writing-especially poetry and action/adventure stories. This is the first time i wrote a poem that reminds me of a Tolkien character though.

For me, poetry isn't hard, but i don't really consciously do fan poetry or fan stories-i just write what comes into my head. I wrote that little poem for myself, then someone said it reminded them of how Bilbo may have felt, so i decided to post it here.
