Out of Ashes
The stallion pricked his ears listening, he tilted his head at Sunbeam, wondering if she heard it too. In the distance, he could hear the heavy thuds of tame horses, and a loud sound that cracked through the air {whips}. He could also faintly hear the humans making loud noises, and then he heard something that made his blood run cold, the sounds of wild horses stampeding along the ground, being herded by the humans. He nudged Sunbeam, asking her to run, they needed to get away, they couldn't be caught. {Hope this drama is okay, ignore if it isn't.}

Blue Sorrows
Blue pricked her ears as she heard some loud noises, she turned towards Thunder, her expression fearful. "We need to go." she snorted urgently.

Echo in the Wind
Echo snorted as she was driven forward, the humans had come out of no where, and started herding her and a few other horses. She bucked and a whip cracked across her back, leaving a line of blood and stinging pain. She reared and tried to run another direction, snorting with anger as she was blocked off. The paint mare tossed her mane and nervously darted around the crowd of horses, looking for a way out and feeling frustrated as she was blocked every time.

Thunder pricked his ears at the same noise, "Lets get moving, not ahead, go right" he said, because a head he could also see and hear others, shod horse, dog and man whistling and yelling.
Nosing the mare he put her in front and drove her away.



Sunbeam pranced nervously on the spot, pinning her ears at the sound it sent shivers down her spine. Looking to Ash for directions she felt him nose her quickly. Without warning she bolted in fear, sweat broke out behind her ears and she went flat out in no peticular direction.

Blue Sorrows
Blue nodded,before bolting in the direction he had pushed her in. Fear drove her on, her legs were numb but she knew she had to get away, forest fires, she didn't fear that much, storms neither, but the one thing that chilled her to the bone was humans. She kept silent, not wanting to alert the humans of her presence as she galloped, the tree branches scraping against her coat and making it sting, but the satisfaction of getting away and the adrenaline pumping through her veins kept her up.

Echo in the Wind
Echo reared, and stopped bucking and kicking at the horses around her. She was trapped, and she hated it, her eyes were wide with fright as she wildly through her head around, trying to struggle against the ropes the humans were lassoing around her. She reared and then stumbled, before trying to stand, her legs tangled in the rope. The mare reared and bolted to the left, tripping over the rope but still running, even though her hocks hurt.

Out of Ashes
Ash galloped after Sunbeam, "Wait, wrong way! You're going towards them!" He neighed loudly, giving a burst of speed so he could draw alongside the mare and turn her around. He nipped her neck, trying to get her to draw away from the pain and go the right way. "Run!" He neighed loudly again urging her on.

The stallion ducked his head as a branch came close and only got his whither lightly, he heaved himself quicker behind the mare to keep her from slowing at all and pushed her on. Smelling the air he knew they could still be trapped, unless they found a way out...

Sunbeam only went faster, her flanks heaving as she quivered with fear of what might happen to her, she swung on the stallions command, but only slightly, she was being driven more and more the way of the humans, her ears were flat in fear and her body moved stiffly.

Out of Ashes
Ash snorted, "Come on, just a bit further." he encouraged, his ears back so he could listen. To his surprise, they seemed to be getting further away, and soon the sound disappeared. He slowed, "I think we're alright, for now." he snorted, keeping his voice calm so Sunbeam could calm down too.

Echo in the Wind
Echo broke free, dashing through the trees, trying to lose them. She ran past a blue roan stallion and a black mare, but she ignored them, her only thought to get away from the humans.

Blue Sorrows
Blue watched, confused as a brown and white mare galloped past, a rope around her neck. Suddenly feeling very frightened, she froze, unable to move as a man and horse broke onto the trail and threw a lasso around her neck. She reared as the noose got tighter and tighter, and she couldn't breathe. She struggled, her nostrils flared, trying to draw in deep breaths. Her eyes were wide with fear as she was dragged away, looking back at Thunder.

Thunder halter sliding a metre further away from his mare. He let out a shrill angry scream of challenge to the man and his mare, "I'll be back for you!" He promised, rearing and barely escaping with his own life...

Sunbeam barely slowed, but did a very tight circle, almost falling over while doing so then halting. She heaved and puffed dramatically and shivered as she watched in horror, but no sound nor man came.

Out of Ashes'
Ash listened as the men came closer, but then went away again, obviously with a big herd of wild horses, he could hear the sound of their hooves, light compared to the heavy thud of the tame horses. He sighed, "There go a few more horses from the wild. Are you alright?" he snorted, trotting a quick circle around her to check for injuries.

Blue Sorrows
Blue nodded, before allowing the men to drag her away, her tail drooped sadly, and not flicking happily. She sighed, she really was sorrowful, like her name suggested, and she thought about it as she stood in the pen, surrounded by unknown stallions and mares. One stallion came close to her, sniffing at her heat scent but one glare made him go away again. She sighed and stared back at the open forest, frowning at the tall boards the enclosed the horses and stopped her from getting her freedom.

As the sky darkened, and the noice level of the lands around here quietened, there came only a single sound, the low drumming hooves of Thunder, following the humans tracks who led his only mare away. Coming to an abrupt halt at the endge where he could see dim lights he poked his head through the tree's that hid him barely, scanning his new surrounding he decided to scare the stallions that he saw crowding his mare closely. Letting out a shrill ghostly scream he let it echoe in the wind before stepping out slightly and rearing in the moonlight, his coat shimmering making him look like a ghost beneath the moonlight.

Sunbeam was still frozen in her position as the stallion finished circling her, she trembled in fear still, but her ears were forward and she stared into the distance. "Im f-fine..." She said in a trembling tone.

Blue Sorrows
Blue flicked her ears as she heard an inhuman scream, and then looked up to see the silhouette of a phantom horse. She stood up hurriedly, but stayed silent, not quite believing her eyes. "Thunder? Is that you?" she snorted into the darkness, trying to see if it really was the blue roan stallion.

Out of Ashes
Ash nuzzled her neck gently, "Go to sleep, get some rest, I'll keep watch." he snorted softly, trying to calm the mare.

Thunder snorted softly and trotted down, his shadow dark against the bright moon. He came to a halt at the fence and nuzzled Blue. "Yes, It is me" He answered her softly so that the noise wouldn't disturb the humans who hopefully slept... The stallion examined the fence, it was high, to high to jump over without clipping it or making noise, and it was to crowded in the yard.

The mare almost collapsed from Exaustion, her eyes falling closed as she slept.
