Why am I so talk-active today? Well, it is a awkward day, Apocalypse confirmed as he landed next to Isinn. He landed lightly, though the sudden leap suddenly took the air out of him. He panted, startled, and stared at the floor. The shade cooled the brute, and he relaxed in his position. "By today's earlier hunts, I can conclude that prey isn't all scare," he began with a rather quiet voice as he sat down next to Isinn. "I've heard some pack members brought down an elk, and I caught a somewhat plump doe." Talking about prey made him slightly hungry, but Apocalypse ignored the hunger gnawing at his belly. "It just seems that the prey population is rather..down."

Ísinn nodded as she listened to him, her eyes trained on the distance, on nothing in particular, really. "Well," she said slowly, "that's certainly good news. I managed to get a rabbit and a hawk earlier, along with plenty of fish and some voles. The larger animals are scarce, but I've still seen a decent amount of small game. We may just have to adjust to eating fish and finches until the herds return. We have nowhere to go besides the Tundra, unless we want to travel past it and see what lies beyond... but I'm afraid we'd reach the ocean, and if we travel that far and find nothing, we're as good as dead." She paused, licking the blood off her paws, grimacing, then continued. "The healers are going to speak with our ancestors tonight, and I pray that they'll give us guidance. We may not make it 'til then, though, if these rogues aren't taken care of." She sighed lightly, gazing up at the canopy of leaves overhead. It really was beautiful, the way the dappled sunlight fell on the snowy ground. It felt like liquid gold, giving strength to her exhausted limbs. "I just... I want to do what's right. For the pack. For us. The problem is, I don't really know what that is yet." Oh, how she wanted to stay here. This was her home. She belonged here, among the trees and singing birds and rushing water and grazing herds. Anything else was unthinkable. "This is our home. And I'm not willing to give up on it yet."

"Yes, the pack's camp and surroundings are quite..suitable, besides times in winter," Apocalypse said. "I agree to hunt smaller game to let the bigger ones reproduce a bit more. Though if we do come across some large game, we should hunt a few males instead of the females, to let them bring calves." He thought about the doe he killed and winced. Why didn't he think before lunging? But that's all over now, so he'll have to live with it. "The fish option may be a negative, the water sources will start freezing. We eat snow for water, but you won't find any fish in snow." Apocalypse watched a hummingbird flitter around, buzzing and sucking nectar. After a while, the buzzing started annoying him, so he swiped his paw on it, smacking it down. He flicked the dead hummingbird into the bushes. Some raccoon will get it, he thought.

"We can survive, for a while at least, if the thieving stops. I'm thinking we should set up a guard system- I should have thought before leaving camp unprotected." she replied, closing her eyes and thinking. "A night guard would be fantastic, but with how cold it's getting, I don't know that it's possible. I've been shivering even under piles of moss." She frowned. "Thinking of which, we should probably reinforce the den walls a bit. Cold is leeching in, and soon the moss will all be frozen solid, which means no bedding until spring comes." You could hurry up if you wanted, Spring, she thought in annoyance.

Apocalypse nodded in agreement to all she said. "I can do the night guard sometimes, I don't mind the cold," he offered. "And also, if some wolves dug under the snow, they could find fresh moss. It'll be a little damp and cold, but it's not too bad." Apocalypse watched a little winter bird dance around. Like the hummingbird, it annoyed him. When it got closer to him, he swiped his massive paw on it, crushing it. Just like what he did with the hummingbird, he flicked it into the bushes, with an pleased grin.

Ísinn didn't even nod, she simply stared curiously at him. "What did they ever do to you?" she questioned softly. It wasn't accusatory or angry. Her voice was quiet and steady and gentle and kind, but her eyes scanned his uncertainly, seeking his honesty. Another small bird flittered around, but she nudged it before Apocalypse could end its life, too.

ImageThe name's Apollo.

ImageApollo was the Greek god of music, poetry, light, and knowledge, but that isn't why I was given this name. No, I was named Apollo because of its origins- it's assumed to have come from the Indo-European 'apelo,' meaning 'strength.'

ImageI'm a brute. Clearly.

ImageAs of right now, I'm just a subcoordinate, but I hope to eventually become much more. I'm capable of much more.

ImageI'm a young adult, still in my prime.

Image
Image

ImageImageImage

ImageI'm all masculine, large and muscular and fit. I could easily be one of the tallest wolves in the area, if not the tallest, towering over the average and even greater-than-average full-grown male. I'm very strong and muscular, and each massive stride that I take, my muscles ripple. I don't look like a beefy bull, though; I'm lean but not skinny, sleek but not feminine. Fit would be a better description, because by no stretch of the imagination am I some skinny, scrawny, sickly pup. Despite that, my long legs are fairly slender, but don't be fooled; there's plenty of muscle in them. If you don't believe me, just feel them. My paws are a normal size proporitionally, but because I'm so large, they appear to be pretty massive. My tail is an average length, maybe a tiny bit short, but I don't think it is. My ears, too, are average, if a bit wider than normal. Same with my muzzle- it's an average length, as are my eyes an average size. If you look at me from the front, I almost look a bit thinner than you'd expect, but I'm, again, by no means skinny. My powerful build is wrapped in thick, soft fur that varies in length; on my face and legs, it's pretty short, but still longer than some wolves' fur. On my neck, shoulders, chest, belly, cheeks, and poofy tail, it's really long, but once again, not as long as some. Along my torso, it's also pretty long, only a bit shorter than only my cheek and tail fur. Overall, my coat is pretty long, though. My base coat is an orange color, perhaps with a bit of tan in it, but it isn't the color you see most. That's probably black. All of my body except my underbelly and face is mainly black, with ticks and swirls of my base color showing through. My lower legs, belly, chest, the front of my neck, my muzzle, and a single dot over each eye is snowy white, like a fawn's belly. I also have a dot of white on each side of my muzzle. On my face, I have mostly black fur, but orange rings surround each eye, and there's plenty of orange ticks. Basically, I'm a mish-mash of the three colors- orange, black, and white-, with a few lighter and darker shades tossed into the mix. My large, wide eyes are amber, with flecks of orange and gold swimming through their mysterious depths. My nose is black, my paw pads are marbled with dark gray and black, and my ears- well, you can't see the inside of my ears through the warm fur.

Image

ImageImageImage

ImageDespite my intimidating appearance, I'm not cruel. I may be a bit standoffish and rought aroudn the edges at first, sure, but once we're close, I'm a good guy. I'm talkative and friendly, always making jokes and laughing (often at myself), and I'm extremely loyal. Not clingy, no. But loyal. I'll never be the one who starts conversations or get-togethers, though, as I am a bit anti-social and solitary, but I'm usually more than willing to be with those who initiate the social stuff, if I trust them. I'm incredibly defensive of those who I like, because there are very few. My trust is hard to come by, my affections even harder. And if you have the idiocy to mess with my friends, you better pray you'll see tomorrow. My strength, of course, makes me a great fighter. I'm also very clever, shrewd, able to outsmart my opponents as well as out-fight them. I'm quick, too, for somebody my size, and I'm pretty balanced and agile. I'm also a great hunter, stalking silently and pouncing with deadly precision. Overall, I'm just generally athletic. I've got lots of street smarts, too, but I'm a little low on the book smarts... I can hardly tell poppy seeds from juniper berries, so keep me out of the healer's den. I'm not dumb, though, so don't think that. If you're smart, you won't cross me. If you're on my bad side, you better hope I don't tear you to pieces; if I don't like you, I become a ticking time bomb with a short fuse and a huge explosion. Don't be afraid of me, though; if I decide I like you, you're safe.

If not, maybe you should be afraid.

ImageMy appreciation for solitude began when I was just a pup. I was born to two loners whose names I never knew. I knew them as nothing but "Mom" and "Sir." I was one of eight pups- a pretty massive litter. My dad- Sir, I called him- was agressive and violent, so we did our best to avoid him. If we kept Mom from him, he'd get angry, so we were away from her a lot, too, except for when we were still drinking milk. Sir would allow her to feed us before taking her away again. Well, in case you didn't know, it's not very pleasant to spend all day with seven squirming, clumsy, smelly creatures who are all whimpering for their mommy. Especially when they can crush you. Did I forget to mention? I wasn't always this big. No, I was the runt of my litter. I grew later in life... but let's not get ahead of ourselves. I spent most of my youth alone, strengthening myself so I wouldn't be viewed as the helpless one. I preferred solitude to the constant noise and clatter that my siblings caused. By the time Sir began training us, I was surprisingly strong for a pup my age. That was a mistake, though. And I soon began to regret it. Sir saw me as his little protege, pushing me harder, harder, 'til my growing bones couldn't stand it any longer. When I grew too tired of fighting his full-grown followers, or sprinting for miles on end without food or water, or swimming to the bottom of a lake, returning to the top and only getting one breath in before I had to go back down, or trying to take down elk on my own, he'd bite and scratch and brutalize me, saying I'd never survive. Well, I knew I could. Just not with him. So I fled, and lived a happy life as a loner until I became mature. Then, that pack instinct kicked in. It kind of turned me into an enigma- I'd avoided talking to others for so long, just because I hated it so much, that it took me a full day to remember my name, but now every bone in my body fought to find a group to live with. So I ended up here, in Ísinn's pack. I said goodbye to my freedom and became the lowest of the low in the pack. And all this socializing is exhausting, but I almost... like it? And I want to prove myself. This is my chance to start over. And that's just what I intend to do.

Image

Image
ImageImageImage

ImageI don't have one, and I don't particularly know if I want one. Love is a funny thing, I get that. But I don't want to throw away my solitude for some pretty little lass. It'll have to be a special wolf, for sure.

ImageI said I didn't have a crush, and that typically leads one to assume that I don't have a mate. Nice try, though.

ImageAgain, have you completely ignored me? No crush, no mate, no pups. It's simple problem solving.

{{ I hope I did all this right! Also, if I'm accepted, would you mind if I start from where I'm a loner joining the pack? It's easier for me to get my "muse" that way, if it's alright... if not, I totally get it! Thank you :)

Totum's eyes furrowed. "Of course I am of the pack. I am a sub-coordinate. And of course I will help you drag this back to camp." Totum looked at it thoughtfully. "Was this your own kill?" Totum watched her limp back to the elk. She had a limp too? Totum thought, narrowing his eyes at the wolf. She did seem slightly familiar... what if she had been part of the pack but had been driven out? Oh well. Totum added in his thoughts mischeviously. I could use with a little dare these days. Totum limped over to the elk, and looked for the wolfs signal. That reminded him... "Oh, by that way.... what would your name happen to be?"
Because I met my best writing/internet buddy through her signature, I decided to list a bunch of things about me. Not that I like making friends. Or that I'm good at it.

Harry Potter; Lord of the Rings; The Hobbit; The Silmarillion; Anything Tolkien Really; My Little Pony; FimFiction; Fanfiction; AppleDash; TwiDash; RariJack; Writing; Poetry; Camp NaNoWriMo; NaNoWriMo; Rabbits; My Pet Rabbit Nali; Slender; Steam; Team Fortress 2; Minecraft; SkyDoesMinecraft; HuskyMudkipz; PewDiePie; Stephano (duh!); Smosh; Ian is Best Smosh; Woona is Best Princess; The Youtubes; Skypes; Scrivener; Movies; Scripts; Award Shows; Elijah Wood aka Frodo; Pippin is Best Hobbit; Tumblr; Shadowlands MC; Tinq.

Illusion.Male.Loner.

Illusion flicked his ears smirking at all the wolves, when they ran off he turned his back and started to walk.He looked to see if Lani followed,a cool breeze brushed against his black fur.He was the Illusive ghost,he was large, tall and not scared of anyone. He flicked his ears and he kept walking."so where did you stash the food?"he said perking his ears up with a smile at the young female. He lashed his tail around with a cute smile looking at her charmingly.

Valkyrie watched as alpha and beta departed, talking about some unknown problem that the pack was having. Val would have loved to follow them, and would have, if she had been with the pack longer than a few months. But she was new, and that meant she had gained no one's trust. So she remained where she was, thinking how foolish it was to let her stay with these loners. Now if they decided to attack, they could most likely kill her. Valkyrie was not a poor fighter and had been the lead fighter in her previous pack, but she doubted these two loners, who had almost beaten the alpha, would leave much of her so that anyone could even identify her pretty white body. When the loner started to walk away, she did follow him. Leaving him alone in pack territory to do what he wished seemed dangerous, especially after his standing up to the alpha. "What do you think you're doing?" she questioned after a few moments of this walking.
