Esmeralda laughed and started to follow the now more happy little mare. She began walking but looked back at the lonely mare hiding and motioned for her to follow them with her head,to the other two playing in the pond. She smiled and giggled and loped down to the pond, forgetting what had happened earlier that may have prevented her from going near them again if Azaria wasn't with her to build her confidence.

She glanced back at Esmeralda then gleefully ran into the water. She swam out into the middle of the water, swam in circles looking at her surroundings, admiring how beautiful everything was, even the other Kelpies were beautiful. "There's never so such thing as an ugly Kelpie." She said to herself.

Pruina started slightly as the other Kelpie made eye contact with her. A gesture of aggression? No, the cheerful gait of the Kelpie and her friend seemed to be indicative that she had asked Pruina to join them, and Pruina began to trot forward in relief. She glanced to the side momentarily, pausing in her stride, as she passed the two Kelpies she had seen initially. They seemed to be lost in their own world, and Pruina decided that it would be more prudent to leave them alone. Leaving her hesitation behind, she continued further down the river, until she reached a rather sizeable pond, free of any danger as far as she could see [ though she was still wary that cottonmouths might be lurking about ]. The water looked welcoming, and seemed that it would provide refreshment from the oppressive humidity of the bayou, so Pruina figured that it would be nice to be in the water for a bit. Hang the risks! Perhaps this was uncharacteristic of her, but the summer heat could drive even the most tentative Kelpie to throw away their worries for a few moments.

The Kelpie who had invited her over was dark in colouration, with a few spots along her back; her friend also a bit similar in appearance. She stood for a moment at the edge of the water, flicking her tail nervously, and decided to try for a greeting. "Hello there," she nickered shyly, "I'm Pruina. I don't believe I've seen the two of you around here before..." Pruina herself did not have a designated territory for her home range; rather, she wandered back and forth between territories until either an aggressive horse kicked her out or a more kindly one decided, reluctantly, to let her linger there for a few moons.

"Do you mind if I join you?" Pruina continued, thinking that they probably wouldn't refuse, but considering that they might, and it was better not to risk offending them. Unfortunately, she'd run into volatile Kelpies all too often in her life, and she had to at least think about the possibility that these Kelpies might be the same, though they didn't seem that way.

Azaria called out from the water to Pruina in response, "Come on! Get in! It feels amazing! I'm Azaria! Nice to meet you!" She laughed as when she was swimming in circles and her hooves reached the water tops, it made a big splash, splashing the Kelpies.

Esmeralda looked up at Pruina. She smiled and whinnied a little to cheerfully, "Well hi! It's nice to meet you! I'm Esmeralda, of course we don't mind! Come come, lets go swimming!" She turned, ran and almost did a cannonball in the water she jumped so high. When she emerged, she saw huge waves from where she jumped and she laughed... embarrassed and regretting that she came out of her shell to quickly.

Niova smiled and nudged him gently. "It looks like she kind of likes you.." she said before making her way over to the water. She looked down at her relfection then turned to Cody. "Sure, I'd like to go for a swim, it's getting a little hot anyways." she giggled before making her way into the water.

"She likes me?" he asked himself before rushing over to Novia. "But that can't be possible, I mean, we barely know each other!" he didn't realize, but his tome was very rushed and panicked. He looked over towards Azaria, she was really pretty. He then looked at Novia and noticed how pretty she was too. He shook his head as he realized he was staring and decided to wave it all off for now. He galloped into the water, sending a spray of droplets onto Novia.

Niova jumped slightly when she was surprised by the water droplets that splashed on her pelt."Sometimes crushes happen fast." she said to him. She then waded into the water, swimming through the murkiness and around Cody. It felt nice, she was getting quite hot due to her colorations. She then soon headed back to shore and shoot out her drenched fur until almost dry. She flicked her tail once before turning and looking at Cody

Esmeralda looked at Cody, that at Novia... "H..hi, Um, sorry about what happened a little while ago.. my name is Esmeralda. Would you mind if we joined you?" The dark mare's head slowly looked back at Azaria and Pruina. She tried her best to smile. But it came out awkwardly and she knew it did. She giggled at herself, but that made herself look more like a fool... "heh..heh.."

Cody thought about what she had said as he watched Novia swim around him before following her up to shore. He looked at Esmeralda and smiled, "So you weren't being attacked by an alligator?" he said jokingly before realizing he might have offender her. "But yeah, you guys are more than welcome to join us." he caught a glance of Azaria having fun and felt his cheeks grow hot.

Esmeralda looked at Cody and smirked. "No... but if I was... I could take 'em on.." She walked a full circle around him, stopped, and cocked her head to the side, "You sure? Oh, wait, what am I saying? There's four mares... and only one of you... I'm sure you'd love to have us stay." She laughed, "I'm just kidding!" She laughed even more, making herself look more like a fool. She didn't know when to draw the line.
