Anyone interested in an arranged marriage rp.
I was part of one a few weeks ago and I really enjoyed it, but it died....
So I was thinking of making one with a small twist. It would involve princesses and princes from a certain countries marrying royalty for other countries, in an effort to secure an alliance with said country.[/size][/center]

@thunder. I understand your points, but I wasn't thinking of making it that realistic. I just wanted to choose countries that were most likely to seek out alliances. And I rarely post a paragraph anymore, I just don't expect others to post as much.

Not to be nitpicky but I don't think people would use marriage as an alliance these days - not with any of those countries at least. xD All of those have other leaders (like a prime minister or president) as well that hold power, for one thing.
So it it set in modern day?
Also, are there any requirements regarding posting frequency? I'll be busy 20 hours a week plus out of town for field work on weekends. Oh, and my boyfriend hasn't paid his internet bill so I wouldn't be posting from his place until that's taken care of.

I can play either gender and 16+ years old but I prefer adults - like 22-32 typically.

I had this reallyreallyreallyreally good idea it might suck to you though
I kept thinking about all the high school roleplays and thought to myself
"what about uni roleplays, we need some more of those"
so I came up with this one really good idea, and then
a variation of it in case you don't find it appealing
it was this:
// the characters go to a fine arts academy / university of the arts
and this doesn't just mean literal art art obviously
so it would be like music, dancing, poetry, literature, playwright,
instrumental appreciation, painting, perspective, etc.
and there would be a really short snip of a personality based on what they are
that's the only thing preset about them; you build a character personality/base off of that
the ONLY RULE is that I do not want a big long form; a small/medium-sized one should do, if you need an example you may see mine once I make the thread / if I make it because you guys like it.

and here was the other idea in case you didn't like this one:

and they're all based off of musical instruments, and their relationships are too
again, mostly the same as the one above, and with the same regulations,
but with instruments. Like the violin is quiet and sweet and is afraid of the trombone
because they're so much louder and more brash [because they're brass? get it? ugh nvm I suck]

Alright so I apologize to Rivkah because you just put forth a new rp idea and i'm barging in with this one ._. sorry!

Basically, I've been meditating (well sort of) on this for a while and I was thinking that I wanted to do an almost "criminalistic" plot where teenagers, roughly between the 16-19 age group are being transported to "Vandyke Institution for the Troubled" where juveniles that have committed crimes are put together in one school to harness their abilities to shoot guns, steal things, etc in the case where if an emergency uprises they can be used to fight and defend. Of course it's not an easy task, with a whole bunch of different personalities to control, so the school is often chaotic, unorganized, and definitely not a "institution-like" academy. The teachers mostly have no idea what to do with the kids. The roleplay can continue on with different events that I can think up, stuff like that. But mostly it just goes where the roleplayers take it - I feel that sometimes roleplays die because the plot is too rigid and too structured, a bit of free movement is nice.
There can also be different reputations/personas that each character must be, such as "The Psychopath," "The Cold-Blooded," "The Ruthless," "The Desperate," and so on.
About 8 people would be perfect for this I think - I'm pretty close to making a thread with this plot I just need to know if people would sign up for it. Anyone interested?
