What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

Reason for choosing the name:
Why Lyra??Well,Lyra is a genderbend of the boy name "Lyre", the small harplike stringed instrument.It was used to saronate the Cerberus to sleep in the Greek Myth,and it's just a beautiful instrument with a beautiful sound,suiting her quite well.

Here is the real theme,Hall of Fame-The Script (featuring will.i.am).I chose this because it's really inspiring.Like,really,really inspiring.It's a song that literally says "you could be the best".
Lyra often listens to it when she's down,and it's describes her personality really well.She lights up the room,and can always bring up the mood.She also has many different opinions.This song is her favorite.It explains how if you put your mind to it,you can do anything.You can be anything you want.

In Doctor Who, the 11th doctor (Matt Smith) has a companion named Amelia, or Amy. In an episode late into the season Amelia has a baby of whom she names Melody. I know it's not exactly connected but I think it works out c: Doctor Who is maybe my favourite show on the entire planet. THis mutato is probably the most amazing mutato on the entire planet so I think they should share their amazing-ness.



The Lazy Song by Bruno Mars



I chose this song because in the description of Mutatos they are very busy. The Lazy song, hence the title is all about being lazy. I thought Amelia would love to listen to this and relax if she ever stops pacing. Also, it's lyrics are probably what all mutatos are thinking when they wake up for another busy day.

Little Amelia is very curious. Ever since she was created she has wondered everything about anything. There are two main things she likes to think about.
1. What would life be like without music?

Amy thinks it would be a horrible place full of sadness. No one would be able to dance, there would be no spunk! No one would be inspired, life would be dull and grey. No one would be able to express themselves, everyone would be sad and fight.

2. What are movies?

Amy has always wanted to go to the movies. Sadly she never gets time!
