"I lost his scent! What do we do now?" I said to Brokenkit.

Brokenkit
I lowered my nose to the ground and sniffed, there was a lot of muddled scents, with the freshest being the new apprentices, their mentors, and Snowkit's, though Snowkit's scent went against the others, meaning he went the opposite direction. "He went this way." She said to Ivykit. She took the lead this time, turning sharply to the left.

I tracked Snowkit to the elder's den, and knew that he was hiding in the patch of grass behind it. "He's hiding behind the elder's den!" I whispered not-so-quietly to Ivykit. "Let's go get him!" I tried to walk, but she stopped me.

Ivykit
"You can't just walk in there like that!" I said. "We're a patrol, and this loner could be dangerous. We have to sneak up on him so he doesn't suspect anything. You sneak up on him from the other side, but don't go in the grassy area yet, I'm going to sneak up on him from this side and drive him to you. Okay?"

I nodded, and crawled around to the other side of the den, and waited for Ivykit to chase Snowkit towards me.

After Brokenkit went to her side of the den, I crept silently into the grass, making sure my tail and feet didn't drag along the stems. I leapt out at Snowkit, and yowled in pleasure as he jumped in fright and ran away.

I sorted my herbs, hearing the Kits play. As long as they didn't come in a mess things up, I was fine with that.
