Guardian Angel
Did you as a user think of this creature yourself?:
Yes, and no. I didn't think of the idea of angels, but I did add my own ideas into this character and what she is.
Power(opt.):
Bianca, being an angel, does have certain powers. To start, she can fly due to her huge wings, but she's not very fast and the wings get in the way of doing anything besides flying. But what Bianca is best at is magic. Specifically, magic that pertained to people, not the elements. Bianca is a master at magic of the mind, heart, soul, and body. She could manipulate anyone and anything into her own will, and convince them it was right. She could implant her own thoughts, her emotions, and even her dreams into another person's mind. She could enter into the sub-conscience of anyone she wanted. It was only later her powers could cause serious damage, and that was something she didn't want to happen. So, she began practicing healing. For someone who's magic depended on the psychological aspect of a person, it was a challenge. This magic was about protecting, and curing damage, not causing it. But eventually, she learned to heal the physical marks, such as broken bones and cuts. And then, she realized there was one other style of magic she had always wanted to learn about: summoning. The ability to bring creatures to fight for her was something she had to learn. Now, Bianca had since given up the physical fighting for good reason. But some people didn't listen to mental magic. So, with a reluctant heart, she learned how to summon creatures, like dragons and gryphons, to fight for her.
Now, you must be wondering, how does one exactly perform so many forms of magic? Well, each one has a different approach. To start, mental magic focuses on the person specifically. So, clay figures called shabti are carved to look the like the person the spell is intended for to perform magic similar to voo-doo, and various talismans are created from objects close to the victim to allow the magic user to connect with them. Emotional calm and intense concentration are also needed for this type of magic. Also, several Egyptian concepts are used for this style. For example, a magic user could capture a person's shadow or learn their secret name if they wished to control them. Also, larger and more complex spells require elaborate chants and, often times, offers or bargains to more powerful supernatural forces, such as gods and goddesses. Healing magic is different. While it does pertain to a person, it focuses on accelerating a process, or getting that progress to start in the first place. While there are some healing spells, most healing comes from brews and potions made from even the simplest of ingredients. There are potions for just about every kind of ailment, ranging from the common cold to even acne. Some potions and brews are challenging for even the most experienced healers, and some recipes take a while to create, but are always worth the work. And some healing comes in the form of food. Nectar and ambrosia are common "quick fixes" that are used if there are no supplies around, but are too be used with caution. They have a nasty habit of killing people if too much is taken in a short amount of time. Finally, we come to summoning. The closest style Bianca has to a combat-based magic is different from the previous two for a few reasons. To start, summoning involves taking a creature out of where it was and taking it to where the user is. The most common way of reliably holding these monsters is through a card similar to a trading card and a popular game in the magic community is to play the more commercialized, less dangerous version in a game. To summon one of the creatures in the real world, an offering must be made to the supernatural forces again. It also involves making specific signs, and there is one that correlates to every creature that can be summoned. It's also noteworthy that instead of a wand, Bianca uses a staff about as tall as she is for her magic that's tattooed with hieroglyphics, and though often used as a magical object, has been used to smack people on the head.
Looks:
Bianca is undeniably pretty for someone in their thousands. To explain, Bianca upholds herself to a standard of how she looks, so that she looks presentable at the very least. But some could argue she really doesn't need it. Bianca has a tall, light frame that gives her a regal look. Standing at six feet, and four and a half inches, she certainly is a tall girl, almost lanky considering how skinny she is. In contrast to Reva but comparable to Pen, Bianca isn't very strong and built more like a model than a fighter. And although Pen is a good runner, Bianca couldn't run to save her life. Moving on her build, her sleek hair reaches her knees, due to growing it out her entire afterlife with a few haircuts here and there, and is black like the night sky in color, and is usually kept down. Her eyes are glistening green like trees and are as sharp as knives and a she has a smooth, pointed nose. Since she isn't especially active, Bianca has light skin, with little pigment. But don't remind her; she doesn't like to be reminded a thirteen-year-old is more tan than she is. Her pristine white wings trail slightly on the ground as she walks, and when spread out, have a wingspan of roughly eighteen feet. Though they allow her to fly, they do get in the way of doing other things due to being so large.
Bianca's wardrobe is much different than her friends. While Pen and Reva would prefer to show their arms, their legs, or their midriffs in Pen's case, Bianca is a much more modest young lady. If she had it her way, she'd always be wearing robes of great class with hairstyles of unseen complexity. But with this being the the twenty-first century, her friends talked her out of it. And as much as she tries, she can't exactly fit her personality very well into her clothes with looking like a normal teenager. So, even though her clothes suggest yet another brainless young lady, Bianca is anything but. Her normal outfit consists of an airy blue and white tie-dye patterned top three sizes too big so her straps below show with navy blue jean shorts that would reveal too much for her liking, so she wears pale blue tights underneath. She would prefer to wear sandals, but since even she knows sandals with tights would be just weird, she instead wears colorful converse shoes. But when she wants to practice her magic, Bianca wears a long, cream robe with gold piping, gold sandals, and an extensive amount of eye makeup. Ah yes, her makeup. Bianca does enjoy wearing makeup, though she only uses it on her lips and eyes. With her normal outfit, she wears cyan blue eye shadow, with her eyeliner, and cyan colored lipstick. Her "magic" outfit's makeup is gold lipstick and eyeshadow, and eyeliner reminiscent of Egyptian khol, which is supposed to her magic stronger.
Personality:
If Reva is the brawn and Pen is the beauty, then Bianca is undoubtedly the brains of their little trio. Having put hundred of thousands of hours studying and performing magic, she is a very focused girl who knows what she wants and has a magnificently overly-detailed plan to get herself there. Though she is a rather clever and quick-witted girl, she has an issue adjusting to pop culture. To explain, Bianca wasn't on earth for a few thousand years, and was instead practicing magic with other angels, away from any earthly distractions. So, naturally, she had to adapt. And so far, she's done rather well, with the help of her friends of course. Even though she can pass off as an unfocused teenager, Bianca is very collected, and can be very intimidating, with her looks and her coldness. A common misconception is that she simply doesn't care for anyone besides herself, since she's so quiet if not stone cold around new people. But the truth is that Bianca would much rather have her head in her spellbook than talking to anyone besides her friends. It's not because she's anti-social - well not so much. She just upholds herself to a higher level than just about everyone and would rather not waste her time consulting people who probably won't understand what she's talking about, especially her beliefs. She has strict ideals that she stands for, such as feminism, and will openly defend her ideas with her own reasonable thoughts, but never with her magic. A lot of people do find her a bit of an insufferable genius, and to be fair, they're probably right. But when she isn't ignoring people less "magically inclined" than her, you can often find her reading her spellbooks, concocting new potions, or even making new shabti. She does enjoy practicing her magic, but won't dare show off. After all, her magic involves concentration and a large ego would do nothing to help that. Despite that, she considers herself a more calm and pacifistic girl, but she can be considered trigger-happy, or the magical variant of that. It's important to note that she'll often use her mental magic when she gets angry, since it's the style she's more experienced with. Yes, she will use her Summoning magic if things get tough, but her main use for it is to defend herself. But then again, the temptation of sending a chimera against her enemies was alluring. Still, Bianca is someone, who though is cold and harsh with not only her looks but her personality, is firmly rooted in her morals, and even though she rarely admits to it, she is fiercely protective of her friends. They don't call her a guardian angel for nothing. She especially has a softer side for Pen, and cares for her like a little sister.
