Ｇｏｎｅ Ｈｕｎｔｉｎｇ - Supernatural Roleplay - Semi-Lit

Contrary to what many think, there are monsters in your closet. When you were little and you tried to convince your parents that there were monsters in your closet, they were there. While they may not have hurt you, that doesn't mean they won't. That doesn't mean they haven't. Have you ever been completely alone, but felt like someone, or something was watching you? There is a good chance you were being watched. Maybe even stalked like prey.
But there are people that can stop that from happening. They're called Hunters. They kill monsters and demons, and put the undead to rest. While it sounds like a heroic life, it can get very lonely and very... tiring. Hunters tend not to live that long, since they are constantly putting themselves in harms way to stop these creatures. Most Hunters tend to get into the business because of vengeance. Very few make it past the age of forty, and those that do are just wisps of what they used to be.
Think twice before becoming a Hunter, because once you become one you can never leave the job. There will always be something after you, and you never completely forget what you saw.

Over the past couple years, strange things have been happening. Freak storms, weird weather patterns, a native animal or bug leaving, etc. No one knows what is happening, but every Hunter has his theory. The more optimistic think that a higher power will rid the earth of such horrid monsters. The more pessimistic think that these signs mean more monsters, more enemies. What do you believe though?

Ａｂｏｕｔ Ｈｕｎｔｅｒｓ
Hunters are a tight knit community. They share the same fears, the same nightmares, the same enemies. Hunters normally hunt in a group of 2+ people, as it is very dangerous to hunt by yourself. Some don't hunt themselves, they give information, tips, and supplies to the younger hunters. The 'suppliers' as they are often referred to as are normally older hunters since this job requires very little physical involvement. Just because they don't hunt themselves, does not make their job any less dangerous though. Monsters will usually kill for pleasure or food, but demons are smarter, more arrogant. They will torture for information they want, which means that there is always potential for a demon to come a'knockin'.
The younger Hunters are in the most danger though. There is always potential to be eaten, tortured, captured, killed, and much worse.
Most Hunters become a Hunter through vengeance, wanting the blood of the monster or demon spilled for the death of a loved one. But some are born into Hunting. The parents will be Hunters, and they will fall in love with either a civilian, or another Hunter. Some parents like to think that they have gotten out of the business by having a family, but the creatures think otherwise. Raising a child while being a Hunter is an extremely difficult job. You can either choose to let your kid be a kid until a creature comes after you or your family, or you can rob your child of their childhood by telling them everything. Teaching them everything. It's your decision.

Ｌｉｔｅｒａｃｙ- This is a literate roleplay, which means you are expected to have a basic understanding of the English language. If you cannot produce at least a paragraph (five-six sentences) per character when you post, then maybe this roleplay is not for you. Because this has happened to others before, if you join with a well written application, but if your roleplaying abilities are unsatisfactory, you will be removed.
Ａｃｔｉｖｉｔｙ- Posting for roleplay (it does not have to be for all your characters, but please do respond to those who are trying to roleplay with your other characters) will be required at least three times a week. If you disappear without telling the owner of this roleplay where you are going, then you will be removed. Please, and I cannot stress this enough, tell the owner where you are going at least two days ahead of time. I understand that things pop up, but if you can give a bit of a notice that would be lovely. You will be removed if you become inactive.
Ｐｅｒｆｅｃｔｉｏｎ- This roleplay will consist of quite a few fighting, and if you cannot roleplay your character realistically, there will be an issue. This meaning; if your character can fight off a hoard with few to no wounds, you will be kicked out. This will be referred to as 'powerplaying'. Please do not control other people's characters, if you are caught doing this you will be given one written warning before being kicked out of this roleplay.
Ｒｏｍａｎｃｅ- You may have a romantic interest for your character, but please, this is mostly a horror/action roleplay. Meaning you will be expected to roleplay with everyone and not just the opposite gender. If your character has a romantic interest, then please make sure that you do not get too graphic and that you keep it at a PG-13 rating.
Ｐｌｏｔ- Every once in a while the plot will change once roleplay has been going for a while. When the plot gets started, there will be forms to submit for your character to be a part of the plot. I assure you, that I will make sure every character is seen to before any character gets 'seconds'. If you choose to participate in the plot (or prophecy), then you will be asked to stick to the plot. If you cannot stick to the plot/prophecy your character will be removed and substituted with a new character.

name. my name is alice terese woodbury. my father named me alice because his sister's name was alice. she died tragically in a hunting accident so he decided that he would honour her and name me alice. terese because it was my grandmother's name, grandmother terese being on my mother's side of the family. i trust youre smart enough to understand why my last name is woodbury?
nicknames. my father called me princess, as did my mother. no one is allowed to call me princess unless they want to be backhanded. my brother calls me ally, and sometimes terese, but anyone other than family cannot call me anything other than alice or a professional ms. woodbury.
age. i am twenty years old. i turn twenty one on june 14th. i was born in a small town in the country down in the hill area of texas. my mother gave birth to my brother and i on a rainy afternoon at five in the afternoon and left with us just before midnight.
gender. i am a human female. a straight human female, none the less; meaning i like guys. although i have never had a serious relationship due to my job, i still find men attractive.

personality. i am patient and selfless. i don't mind waiting for things to come along, and i can stay still for a long time which can make hunting very easy. i am extremely protective of my brother since ive never been away from him longer than two days. if i had to choose between my happiness and my brothers, my brother would come first. every time.
i have a short temper with people, and i don't enjoy socializing very much. but i do enjoy spending time with other hunters. im known to be extremely mouthy towards people, since ive always got a sarcastic retort no matter what position im in. other than my sarcastic and otherwise cocky looks in front of my opponents, i do not crack jokes or smile at any other time. i perform best under pressure and under extreme circumstances since ive been pressured all my life. call it what you want.
im not very romantic, and i dont take romantic hints very well. youd have to ask me outright if i wanted to go on a date, etc. or else you would be at hinting all day. im not a mind reader. on a completely unrelated topic, i am very good at noticing small details and remembering things. just one of the many quirks of being a hunter. i am fluent in latin, as it is required to preform exercisms, expelling demons, getting rid of ghosts, and summoning. its a handy language to know when youre a hunter.
history. i was born in a small hospital in a small town in the middle of hill country texas. i grew up in a small two story house, and around the age of five my dad started teaching me latin. latin is my first language, and english is my second. at the age of eight my dad taught me how to use firearms, and at the age of eleven he taught me to knife fight. my dad was also a hunter, and he was always testing me, making sure i could protect myself and my brother.
he didnt want to teach me at first, but i made him. he was convinced that it was the 'mans job to protect the women' and not the other way around, but eventually i got him to teach me something other than latin. when i was fourteen, he died in a hunting 'accident' as they called it. but we all know it was no accident. he was murdered by a demon, and my brother and i became obsessed with finding it. my mom watched us, but when dad died she went into a state of shock, and was nothing other than a shell of her former self.
i resented her for 'checking out', and i regretted it when she was killed four years later by the same demon. i was eighteen when both our parents died, but we were legal adults so we could go out on our own. and we did. the first thing we did was kill that demon, and afterwords we contacted our fathers old hunting friends and told them what happened, and they helped us. thats really the end of my tragic story.

hair color. my hair is a light brown, and it goes down to my belly-button. the other female hunters tell me its too long, but i keep it that way because thats how dads little sister alice had her hair, and i wanted to keep it as a tribute to her. and to him.
eye color. my eye color is a mix of green and gray. im often told that my eyes are quite pretty, but ive never paid them much attention.

name. my name is carlisle woodbury. i have no middle name, because my mom was so eager to get out of the hospital she forgot to write it down on the birth certificate. carlisle is an old name, i know but my mom liked it, and so do i. you dont meat a lot of carlisles do you?
nicknames. my dad called me son, and my mom called me sweetheart. id prefer it if no one called me that though. alice likes to call me car, just to shorten the name down a bit. other then that i like carlisle just fine.
