Twilightfur remained silent as their molecule of an argument was continued, distinguished, then continued again. Ears pinned back apprehensively against her skull, their bickering was invading her intent thoughts like sirens would a meditating session. Shut. Up. she mentally scolded them, tensing her jaw. If they were going to figure this whole "prophecy confliction" thing out, they would need to work together- they would need to. The defenseless she-cat had no idea who or what was the cause of these pointless arguments, but she could only guess they were caused by the stress inflicted on all of the cats selected by Starclan. She knew she was conflicted, so they most likely were, too.

Just then, as Twilightfur's conflicted mind had wandered, she realized the sound of cats dispersing were fading from her senses. Glancing up with confused blue eyes, she realized they had all left. Well, yeah; thanks a lot, she thought sarcastically. The only reason the typically caring and bashful she-cat seemed so rude was because it didn't seem she could talk to anyone- not one other cat. They all seemed to refuse to think together as a team. Where would that get them? Oh, yeah; that would get them killed. If she convinced the others of that, maybe they'd actually consider working without fighting every millisecond. With a soft, apprehensive sigh, Twilightfur rose to her paws and followed after the others' scents with inaudible paw-steps.

As she caught up with them, she let out a soft huff. "Thanks for waiting for me, guys; I appreciate the-," the she-cat cut herself as she realized they all seemed to be panicked and staring off somewhere else. Raising a questioning eyebrow, she followed Rivershade's blind gaze, trusting him the most for reasons unknown; not to mention the fact that his hearing was more skillful than anyone else's. Just then, the faint scent of blood flooded her senses, and her misted blue eyes widened in shock. What was that? Where was it coming from? Whose blood was it? So many questions infiltrated her mind, if she had asked them, it probably would've taken moons to answer- they wouldn't be able to find them out before answering. She shot a questioning, worried look at the others, her graceful face distorted with a torturous variety of emotions.

• • • I flinched as a sudden sound erupted from a bush after the half-silence of torrental rain and distant screams. It always startled me when there was a sudden sound. Even more then a normal cat, as my blindness didn't let me see them coming or anything! I looked over in relief as I faintly scented Gingerspots. I could barely hear anything over the rain, barely even her words. But, through it all, the screams rang with three farmiliar voices... "It's not a rabbit!" I called to her over the rain. I turned my soaked face back in the direction of the screams. My eyes widened in horror as it struck me who they were. My ear twitched as a voice sounded near me. I looked over and scented the black and white pelt of Twilightfur. I narrowed my eyes at the she cat through the rain. It was hard to sense anything through the rain, much less a cat's fea or worry, or any other emotion. With a sigh, I turned back towards the distant yowls. Listening closly I heard them. I could hear it now. The voices ringing from the distance, and it all rushed into my mind... I knew who it was now.... "It's Eaglestar! And Tawnypelt, and...." It took me a moment to figure out the third cat, as I hadn't heard his voice much. He was from a different clan, so it's reasonable... "Spadestar!" I shouted in fear. They were getting torn apart by wolves! Without thinking, I began to bound towards the voices, and towards the shore. It was probably to late, but we had to try! "Come on!" I shouted over my shoulder.

• • • I looked down at the voice. It took a moment to regester in my brain that he wads alive... I'd never been with another leader exceot in a gathering, and I defenetly never saw one lose a life! To me, my initial thought was the was gone... But I smiled widely as my friend's voice came. I gave a soft squeal of relief and joy. Takeing a step back, I rose to my full hieght. "Come on!" I mewed aloud, "We still have an apprentice to save!"

The tabby tom raced after her, his eyes locked ahead. He smirked as Eaglestar stopped to wait, and Spadestar quickly caught up to the other leader. Bounding towards the direction of the apprentice, he began to hear sounds of growling, fighting... Spadestar's heart thumped faster and faster, he would be ready this time. That wolf would be defeated by him, he swore it!
