"The" Rares List Guide - Do not ask about new UR's!

- All those other advent dogs where nobody's looking for (like the recently rares) & non-dog advents

Since it seems to be the popular opinion that the Angel, Black Advent, and BMD are on the same level we could just list them on one line as well.

Revised this time to show what this organization can look like, plus taking into account everyone's opinions on placing and a couple better names. I did favor grouping the same "type" together over super-exact rarity so the list isn't too all-over-the-place.

This should probably be clearly segregated from the September list with a little note saying the first two rows are generally worth Septembers, while the bulk of the list (all the other rares) are worth significantly less.

I'd put the Timberwolf and Hyena on their own line; they seem to be worth a little more than the rest. :3 And maybe split the bulky middle section into two lists, as some of those are more popular than others. Like this:

The pink heart dog is the only one I'm really unsure about where to place.

Never really seen the pink heart as a very rare/sought after advent. The blue flower floppy usually seems more sought after.

I think the list looks okay, I'd just prefer it if some of the not-dogs would be bumped up to the 'hollyfox' group. There's a lot of pets in the group under those which are far more rare - I'd say even though they aren't dogs they should at least be equal with the 'commons', or then their group should be split too.

-The Hollyfox Cat as an example, is the most sought after advent cat, and has been rare far longer than the hollyfox dog.
-And then there is the Elf rat which has been Very Rare for quite a while now- it doesn't make sense to me to have it equal to value with the two other rats which aren't VR.
-The B-wolves are also very pretty and quite sought after, and both were rare before the hollyfox.
-And then there is the Tess horses, which also have value differences between them seeing as two of them were uncommon far longer than the other two.

Also, for the green-sided holly dog - as he is VR should he not be bumped up a bit? I'm not sure as to why he gets his own category below the other top dogs.

The Hollyfox dog is pretty popular though. As in, before someone told me it was uncommon longer, I would've put it up with the Hyena. The Pink Heart was the last Advent on my Wishlist to cross off, and it was actually kinda difficult to get one...though I never wanted the Blue Flower so idk if that would be harder. My personal experiences will inevitably effect how I see some dogs.

The Green-fronted Holly I just haven't seen anybody looking for, and it did turn VR later than the Sockdog and Scarf PPS...I personally wouldn't put it on par with the Angel, BMD, and Black Advent, but if you guys disagree you can go ahead and put it somewhere more appropriate. ^^

I did mean the pets grouped together to be in descending order of worth, but if some belong higher than say the longer-Uncommon dogs..

The holly fox dog is rather popular but not quite on par with the other dog advents. :3 And I'm of the opinion to put the heart dog in the second half of the bulk list, as it doesn't seem as popular as the others. ^^

What kills me about the poor green holly is that it's very rare and as a result probably belongs above the BMD and company. At the same time, no one wants it, so.... xD

Yeah, Dib (I henceforth shall call you that as I am far too lazy to spell out your username) - can you organize the non-dog advents? Once I see them in some sort of structure I'll be able to help out, but making a list from scratch is a little too much. I never was all that great with non-dog rarities, especially not rats and horses.

= These guys are well liked, and were all rare way before the hollyfox group. I'd like seeing them somewhere around equal with that group at least.


2. Grey Mini Husky, Snowflake Lion, Brown Red-String Horse, White Tinsel horse, Rudolph Rat, Santa Rat, Tinsel Lion.
= These guys are less well liked, but have all been rare before the hollyfox group.

3. Candy Cane Horse, Pink/Purple/White string horse, Pink Mini Husky.
= These guys were uncommon as long as the hollyfox group.


Now, my mind be playing me tricks on the Tess horses, but I do know that the Candy Cane was Uncommon the longest. I just sometimes mess up the white tinsel with the pinkwhite string horse.
But that should be it really.


And my opinion on the Green fronted holly dog... It is the latest VR if I recall correct, and it is uh...kinda ill liked by a lot of people. I think it may be the epileptic colors.
I mean, I wouldn't trade a black advent/BMD/Angel advent for one. No way. I've had one of those things sitting in my trades for aaaaaaaaages. Never got even one offer on it. People do keep offering me more of them though <_>;

It may be me going crazy but I swear those little huskies were the same rarity and went rare at the same time.
And no, you're right on the tinsel horse - I remembered how their rarity order went by thinking 'the two red ones (peppermint and pinkish string one) went rare last'. Yes, I'm a nutcase.
Last off, the snowlflake lion and non VR rats - I kind of think they should go in the third section. Or at least the rats, since they're not really popular.

Ahhhh, I just got one of the green fronted holly dogs too. Fun. Well, good to know I'll never get rid of it. |D

Equal sounds reasonable, since that's probably the advice I'd give people trading them. But how would we visualize that... ;_; I'm starting to wonder if a list in the style of the first two would've been better after all. >_<

We should probably keep in mind though, however specific we get with this list will probably end up affecting trading. Up until now Advent trading has been fairly simple... That may change. These lists do seem to end up being fairly influential.
