Dustpaw heard rustling from above. He looks up. "Come out, from wherever you are! I know you're here!"

Jake's fur bristled and he climbed higher, he saw a squirrel and it ran down the tree when it spotted him, than it saw Dustpaw and ran back up the tree and into a hole. Stupid squirrel He thought.

Dustpaw looked at the squirrel. "Hmph," he grumbled. He looked at the tree again. "You don't want to mess with BreezeClan! Understand? If I scent you again, I won't show so much mercy!" Dustpaw smiled at himself and trotted back toward BreezeClan territory.

Jake leaped out of the tree and onto the apprentice. "Oh really now?" He spat, pinning Dustpaw down. "Not a very good warrior if you just walk off like that when there is an intruder are you?"

Dustpaw hissed in the cat's face. "Who are you, intruder?" he questioned, trying to sound brave, even though he was scared.

"Ha! Like I'm going to tell you who I am." Jake said, unsheathing his claws and digging them into the cats pelt. "Question is, should I let you live? Or die?" He smirked, trying to scare the apprentice more than anything.

Dustpaw could feel fear boiling inside him, but he stuck out his chin. "Yeah, right! I can't take a threat seriously from a kittypet!" he spat. He tried to ignore the claws digging into his pelt.

"Ha! A kittypet? Is that what you think I am? Would a kittypet be out here in the forest, getting their fur dirty, even threaten a wild cat? I think not." Jake replied.

"But a kittypet would hide up in a tree!" Dustpaw hisses back. He unsheathes his claws and rakes them across Jake's face.

Jake jumped back, spitting fury. " Bad move." He spat, leaping at Dustpaw and biting into his shoulder.
