Lol, I tend to forget what their last names are. I think I dwell too much on finding a cool name that I really like. i,e: Avalon, Lyra, Elyjah, etc. I'm really picky about my names for some reason. I have this thing where if I can't connect to them in any way at all possible then the story just kind of sucks because I can't relate to the story very well. I tend to write in first person. I like those names you mentioned though - they sound pretty kick butt xD. Did you use them in your Mortal Decoy story, I'm assuming? I've always wanted to write a "spy" kind of story in the broad sense of the term. Though it would be pretty difficult the more I think about it.

I keep calling my characters Mr. So-and-So. Partly because I keep reusing names don't kill me so my characters do not always have a unique first name. Yes, that was in Mortal Decoy (Which reminds me, I have my coauthor's permission, yay! So I'll be pming you a couple chapters once I get them formatted for CS - pleh - or I could email you them, if you prefer?) Hero Henchman is filled with nerdy references. Maxwell (19th century scientist), Pasternak (commonly used catalogue for labs), Cora Harding (hard heart), Westley (from Princess Bride), Kletz (from Clutz)... Hehe. Ah, at least I make myself laugh. xD

Pfft, I love you for that. xD

@king of eli ;; I am! Unfortunately, I don't know if it was a good idea. As much as I'd like to get through all three eras in time, I don't know much about the 1960's in Paris, nor much about present day [ pfft, I've been reading / writing too many historical and exotic things. I'm not that stupid, I swear. x3 ], so it will require a lot of time - consuming research. Gah, what did I get myself into? |D

I just finished editing for normal Nano,so there is no way I'm subjecting myself to torture that again before November.
But good luck to everyone who is participating! I hope you have fun and your writing muscle gets a good exercise while mine gets lazy on mental potato chips. And actual potato chips. And lots of soda. But that is just because I'm a lazy butt and I have to set goals to get anything done. I'm sure you guys are much better and will finish quickly and amazingly! Can't wait to see what you guys come up with!

Count Rugen: Stop! Saying! That! >[

Also, no one would surrender to the dread pirate Westley, would they?

So, I'm having a bit of difficulty. As some as you might be aware, I have had very little practice writing romantic scenes, and my main project has to have a romantic scene with the main character and his sweetheart... and I'm not quite sure how to write it. It's from the first person perspective of a thirty-something man, and this is his ex-fiance and he's more than just a little bit suspicious of her. There's other factors playing on the scene that need to be shown surreptitiously and I could really use some assistance in writing this so it flows. If someone could pm me who's willing to help, I'd really appreciate it. (There's some spoilers for the project that I'd rather not post here and spoil the mystery for when I finally post more of it online.)

The writing is fun and challenging but sometimes you get stuck and you still just have to keep writing or you'll fall behind and that's tough when the whole time your little inner writer/ editing demon fairy is screaming at you to stop being stupid and write normally again.
*Sigh*
But then it's over and you have something to be proud of, so it's worth it in the end, in my opinion. So it is fun - when it doesn't suck. And when you have a good support group to help you ignore your inner de...fairy.

And it's NaNoWriMo, which stands for National Novel Writing Month(Though I like your version too.);P

Would anyone here possibly be interested in reading/helping me edit my novel that I'm writing for Camp Nano? I might also be willing to do the same for someone else, depending on the plot and such.
