This is sorta like the third page of a new piece of literature I made recently. Do you find it interesting? It's kinda suspenseful and mysterious. But, it's mostly based off of mythological creatures like vampires and werewolves I just haven't gotten to that part yet.. Feel free to add any corrections or suggestions! ^_^ The book's name is Soul Creatures you could see it in my signature but I made it interactive because I like when people get attached and creative with the story. All copyright goes to me..
Someone behind me whispered. "Psst.. Priscilla." When I turned to see who it was, it was Jake. He slowly examined my face. "Are you alright? You look kind of off." He said. I just shook my head and when I was about to turn back around he whispered again. "I need your help with something later.." Then, he slipped a note into my hand, from under the desk, and I quickly turned my attention back to the teacher. "Do you have something to say?" Asked Ms.Ferrier. "Umm.. No, Ms.Ferrier.." I looked at the class who was all staring at me, all but, Alex..

Sooner or later school ended and I walked back home. I dropped my bag at the side and looked for the note Jake gave me during class. When I found it, it read. "I saw what happened to Sabrina last night.. I'm scared to death, can you please meet me at my house?" Then it left an address and a time at the bottom of the page. I wasn't sure what to do.. "If he knows, what if word gets out? What if my friend gets kidnapped and tested on by government officials?!" I began to panic and became flustered by the idea. Then, I grabbed my bag and ran home.

"Sabrina?!" I called, but she didn't answer. I looked around the living room but she wasn't there. Suddenly, I heard a whisper coming from the closet. I went to grab the doorknob when my boyfriend, Ezra, came down the stairs. I slowly moved away from the closet door and onto the couch. "What's wrong?" He asked me.. "Oh, nothing.." I replied. My legs were facing him while my head was turned to the closet.. Is she in the closet? What form has she taken, human or animal? Has Ezra seen her?!.. Then, I looked back at Ezra and smiled. "Well, I'm not feeling so well today." I said while helping him off of the couch. "How about you come back next month?" I tried to close the door but his hand got in the way. "Are you breaking up with me?" He asked, with sparkle in his eye, it gave me the biggest heartache. I shrugged. "I donno." Then he flipped out, throwing his keys in the air. "Is it about Alex?! Because, I know how he looks at you! Are you cheating on me?" He placed his hands on my shoulders as if he was about to hug me. I quickly stepped back and brushed him off. "I'm not cheating on you with anyone, I just think we need some time alone."

You like? I am just freestyling it, going along as I write. I've had the plot for this book for a long time though. It took me forever to get the introduction started.

I need help editing this rough draft too though.. Like, a little inspiration and some perspiration would do it... It's just a rough draft, trust me..

Well, it's getting close to night and I am still waiting for Sabrina to wake up. "Are you sure she's okay?" I asked Alex, who is no longer a pitbull nor naked.. He's wearing some of Ezra's old clothes. They look way better on him anyways. Alex placed his hand on my lap for reassurance. "I promise you, she'll be fine." I smiled back but, no matter, I'm still worried. If it was some other hot guy telling me that I'm a shape-shifter I would have thought he was crazy. But, it's not, it's Alex.

I rested my head on his chest and we laid on the couch, taking turns to watch her. At one point, we both ending up falling asleep. She stayed asleep until early in the morning when she woke us up with her screaming. Alex and I tried to explain everything to her as well as we could. She was convinced that she's crazy and needed to go to an institution. But, somehow someway, we finally convinced her.

I was kind of waiting for myself to shift. Alex said it would happen when you least expect it but I feel like it just won't work for me. He said that there are many types of shifting. There is shifting on que, shifting in fear, shifting in anger, shifting in happiness, and just randomly shifting.. Well, I've tried shifting on que.. That doesn't seem to work, I've also tried anger and happiness. The only one that I didn't try is fear. I'm really hoping my shifting is not random.. But, if my shifting is in fear I hope my soul creature can defend me.. Even though, I'm such a chihuahua when it comes to scary things..

Btw.. It sounds weird but Alex really wasn't naked! It's just hard to explain, you would have to read the book to understand. But, it's nothing bad..
Please support my pregnancy!

So, at the moment, I'm creating outlines for my characters and the plot. I'm nervous to write an I don't know why. Perhaps its because I know that I will probably never even reach 4,000 words, let alone 50,000. Do any of you guys ever experience this? How do you get the motivation to reach the big 50,000? The most I've ever reached in a book is 3,672 words, and it felt like this was a huge chunk out of the plot. How do you make the word count larger without dragging out the plot too long?

It seems hard but the idea to just write. Don't edit yourself in any way and remember that the part of the book that people often like the most isn't the major plot points but the little scenes with friends and family that are fun and funny and make the story worth reading. If you add in one of those for every 1-3 major plot movements you'll find you've added a lot of words to your count. I thought it was going to be really difficult but after a few days of it (If you write enough words per day consistently), you kind of get used to it and it's not so bad. Just keep your spirits up and don't forget to have plenty of your favorite junk food on hand and you'll be fine!(And if you don't succeed, there is always next time!)
(Nanowrimo just got me published, and I just finished editing recently and that is the scariest part, trust me.*Shiver at the memory*)

DID I GET YOUR ATTENTION?!?!?!?!!?

Hey guys! I've got a new warriors fanfic up and I'd love if you could read it. It's actually not even connected to the books except for a little bit - I have my own characters and Clans - so it doesn't matter if you haven't read the books.

Anyway, here's the summary if you're not sure c:

Hundreds of moons have passed since the time of, as this generation calls it, "shadow, sky, thunder, and river", and now four new Clans rule the forest, new forms of their extinct predecessors. But, unbeknownst to them, one Clan hasn't taken its rightful place on these new lands. As a prophecy known to only one leader comes to pass, the world that these cats thought they knew well begins to change forever. Blood will spill, the belief of StarClan will sway, and two Clans will rise to take their place. But there can only be one.

If you liked, here's the link! I'd love if you could critique and comment there, thanks!

I am terrible at character names. I once realized I gave the same name to three characters. I like the name Yassir, okay? And same with Parker. Two characters, in the same story, unrelated, had the same last name. >-> I also change names quite a bit before settling on one for a character. So, er, no. Names are fun, but I can rename a character with no emotional trouble over it, as long as the new name is an improvement

I do have a fondness for a certain Commander Leon Serapion Fletcher, just for the awesomeness of his name, as well as another tough-guy character named Alexis Phinnley Daffnison (called Finn Dash)... but I didn't name either of them. That was my coauthor who has a gift for cool names. >->
INSANELY BUSY!
I am moving! For the next month or so, I am going to be so very busy.
If I'm on here, it's because I'm unwinding with writing or pets or whatever.
Please do not add to my stress, if you can. Your support is appreciated.

For me, definitely. Before I can even get my mind set on ideas, I must perfect the name. I'd like to say that I'm actually pretty good with them - and birthdays, for that matter (you know, those little birthday personality things?), but that's a different topic. I can connect to a character without having the perfect name, but once I get to "know" and "love" that character I feel like I need a good name to do them justice. It can take up to three days for me to search the meanings of names and find the perfect one. Well, the first name, at least. I really couldn't care less about last names. Middle names are also not as important. That said, the name doesn't have to be extravagant (although I do like extravagant, interesting, and creative names) - it just has to explain them or how they grew up. For example, a simple name for a child from an old-styled and religious family, or a weird name for a girl with a mom who was a hippy. Once I choose my name, I can't change it. I think of my character as that and only that, and will for the rest of my life. That isn't very good because sometimes I find the perfect name with the perfect meanings but, unluckily, it just so happens to be the name of a famous person or someone in another book. I don't do it consciously, but it still happens, and knowing that changing it will be right, but not wanting to, never really works out right for me.

For me -- it depends. I like to go on sites like babynames and such so I can see the meaning of the name. If I find a gorgeous name with a meaning that suits my character perfectly, I seem to connect better with them -- unlessifI'mlazythatday. I also have a preference for many names [ Idris, Cheyenne, Amarine, Rohan ... ] but I'm not naming my character Idris if they're dishonest and unfair, as the name means "righteous."

Okay, guys, I think I just had a wow moment that's totally unrelated to the current conversation and I'm so sorry. One of those "wow I just got muse" wow moments. I just found this, something that I wrote about a year ago. I feel like I wasn't that good then, but still, I remember everything that I'd wanted to do with that, as well as some new things. It was actually a story about my CS horse pets in human form (*sigh*) but I think I could do something more original with it. And Alastair... just made me feel all fuzzy and stuff, like the way I feel when I read about one of those brusque, straightforward characters with a soft side (my favorite characters, if you can't tell). It needs to be spruced up a bit, but... well, I don't know. What do you think?
