Lucy's weak point is her vanity, given that she is very conscious of her sex appeal and is overly
confident about her own body. Other than that, she is a genuinely caring person who fights to
achieve her goals and would go into any extent just to help out her friends. Tenacious and clever,
she enjoys reading and is in the process of becoming a writer, working on her own novel. She is
also very friendly and an open person, expressing her feelings easily and helping out others.

The young girl has a long story behind. She is from the very wealthy family Heartfilia, meaning
that as a child she had everything she wanted materially. She was brought up to be a lady and have
all the proper manners covered to marry a wealthy man as betrothed at the age of eighteen. Yet
Lucy was a sad child, for her mother died when she was in a very young age, and her father, not
knowing how to approach her, drifted off. Lucy mourn for most of her younger years, while her father,
but knowing how to console her drifted off from the little girl. At some point Lucy tried to reach for
her only parent left, but her father had grown so distant after her mother's death that he pushed her
away, given that he had found a new passion in fulfilling his and his wife's dream of establishing on
their own.

As she grew, she grew more alike her mother, and her father was greatly hurt by this. This went to
some extent that he could barely look at her and so he aliened himself from his young daughter, who
after being so mistreated tried to escape the security of their mansion millions of times. At some
point in her teens Lucy managed to escape and started training herself in the art of Celestial Magic,
now traveling around Fiore, meeting Natsu Dragneel and being brought to Fairy Tail.
