Welcome to the Unova Region. Well, perhaps "welcome" isn't the proper terminology. You have lived in the Unova region for your entire life. Whether you were born in Nuvema Town or Mistralon City, Unova is your home. And now, it doesn't matter if you are ten or nineteen, you are departing on your very own Pokemon journey with your very own starter and your closest friends. The future holds nothing but surprises; I wish you luck!

You live in the largest city in the Unova region, Castelia City. None of you have lived their for your entire life, but nonetheless it has become your home. However, you are about to broaden your horizons and set out from the vast Castelia City to the even vaster region of Unova--who knows how far you'll go? You might even travel to another region someday! Never forget where you come from; you'll always have a home in Castelia!

And finally, let us talk about you. You, the young man or woman who is about to depart on the journey of a lifetime. You and three of your friends are journeying together around the Unova region to go for your dreams. With one Pokemon each, you will leave Castelia behind and become Pokemon trainers, breeders, or whatever your heart desires! But before you leave, we need to get to know you first. Let's get started then--we haven't the time to waste!

{{Personality; Judy is all around a sweet and relatively innocent young woman. Her personality is naturally caring and nurturing, and she has the uncommon ability to be kind to everyone she meets. Judy rarely loses her temper, however in the rare occurrence that she does lose her temper, while she will never openly admit it, her friends claim that Judy has the capability of being extremely scary and borderline terrifying.

Judy's kindness cannot be mistaken for shyness. In fact, she is quite the charismatic young woman and can talk for hours on end when talking about a subject of her liking. Thus, she is more introverted and tends to avoid large crowds while she is able to converse perfectly with large numbers of people. Oftentimes, Judy will choose the accompaniment of Pokemon rather than people. It is paranoia at it's best, but Judy thinks that she understands Pokemon more than humans. Let it be known that Judy is also a terrible cook.

{{History; Judy lived in Virbank city until she was ten years old. Her family moved to Castelia City for business. Her father is a sailor, and the larger city held more opportunities for him than the much smaller Virbank City. Nonetheless Judy quite enjoyed living in the larger city as it held many adventures. Her father was away a lot on work, but he would always bring Judy and her siblings back souvenirs from his vast travels. It was her father's journeys that made Judy want go on her own Pokemon journey with a Pokemon of her own (that her father brought back for her one time when she was twelve).

{{Personality; It is quite possible that Danny is the most arrogant and conceited person to ever exist in the Unova region. He is an extremely over-proud individual who practically reeks of self-esteem. Not only is he far too confident in his abilities as a trainer, but he is also extremely egotistical and cares about his appearance far too much. Even so, Danny is quite the charismatic young man and will talk to anyone about anything--well, he will if he deems them worthy of his presence.

Danny is quite competitive by nature and will accept any challenge that is thrown at him. He usually tries his best to keep a cool composure and succeeds at doing so. Even if something surprises him, Danny's smirk will not fall from his face. He has a habit of hitting on any girl in sight and is quite the braggart. It is not uncommon for people to find him overwhelming and overbearing due to the fact that Danny is so into himself that he talks about himself more than anything.

{{History; Danny lived in Humilau City until he was thirteen years old, meaning that he has been in Castelia for around five years. When he lived in the ocean-side city, Danny had the time of his life, or so he claimed. Every day was wonderful, and he was "living the life" until his parents declared that they were no longer compatible and decided to get a divorce. His mother remained in Humilau while his father bought a cheap apartment in Castelia. Danny remained with his mother at first, realized that they didn't get along like they used to, and decided to live permanently with his father. He hates talking about his mother and built his arrogant personality as a defense mechanism.

{{Goal or Dream; The self proclaimed "handsomest young man in Castelia" dreams of becoming a Pokemon Actor. He claims that he and his Pokemon are too beautiful to not be featured on the big screen. Until that dream comes true, Danny will travel around Unova as a trainer, collecting badges. But that doesn't mean he'll shut up about his dream of being an actor any time soon.

Ali swung her legs from where she sat on a barstool in the apartment she shared with her mother, her arms crossed and on the counter before her, her chin resting on her arms. In front of her on the bar's countertop was a silver colored eevee, who was wagging her tail happily as Ali gently ran her fingers through the eevee's soft fur, fingering the red bandana that she'd put on her just earlier that morning. Silver gave a happy sound when Ali began to scratch behind one of her long-ish ears, her tail wagging even more. The human girl's lips tilted up in a smile as she sat back, stretching and popping her back. "Let's go," she told the eevee, meaning to go out and just walk around as she occasionally did.

Avery lay reclined in some grass outside, just out of the limits of the city. A sound caught his attention and he raised an eyebrow as he watched his totodile seem to dance around him in the grass, happy to be out of his pokeball. Trap playfully snapped at the air with his plenty strong jaws, his tail wagging behind him as he began to walk now in circles around Avery. Avery rolled his eyes though they gleamed slightly in amusement, snorting softly as he settled back again.

[[sorry about the late response; I was at a doctor's appointment that took longer than expected!]]

"Oh, Tael, what in the name of Mew have you done to my room?" Judy let out a small sigh as she stood in the door frame of her bedroom. Bouncing on her (now unmade) bed was her energetic azurill, Tael; the water Pokemon smiled widely as she ran over to greet her trainer. The brunette couldn't help but giggle and smile in return as the Pokemon flew into her arms. "Come on, buddy, it's not like we've been apart for that long. Mom wanted me to do some shopping for her this morning so I left before you woke up," the girl explained. Tael cried out her name once again with glee and Judy giggled. The girl's blissful state did not last too long, however, because Judy remembered that her room was in a state of chaos. She closed her blue eyes and placed Tael on the ground. "The things that happen when I leave you unattended," she muttered under her breath before casting a sideways glance at Tael. "Well what are you waiting for, girl? You made this mess and I'm not cleaning it up on my own!" Tael innocently grinned at her trainer before hopping across the room to Judy.

Daniel Duncan was most certainly not a morning person. Even though the eighteen year old boy prided himself in being able to maintain a cool and suave composure, he was never able to do so before eleven o'clock. Not only was Danny a ridiculously heavy sleeper, but he was also as grumpy as an ursaring disturbed during hibernation before noon. It had taken his father popping into his room five times before Jason Duncan gave up and allowed his son's swablu, Pereth, to do the dirty work. It wasn't uncommon for Danny to be woken up by Pereth's fury attack or peck--his reaction was always the same angry mumbling and shoving the smug Pokemon away.
This morning was no different from all other mornings, except for the fact that he put up a bit less of a fight than usual. Pereth chirped loudly, which caused Danny to glare at him. "Yeah, good morning to you, too. Next time could you watch where you peck? My face is too beautiful to be messed up by your beak," he muttered. The swablu chirped something else most likely sarcastic in response, to which Danny replied with, "can it".
Danny ran a hand through his red hair as he stood up and paced towards his bathroom. A quick shower was in order before he left the house--it was a big day, after all, and the young trainer had to look nice.

After pulling her hair back into a ponytail, Ali extended an arm, allowing Silver to hop, jump, and leap up it until she was sitting, somehow balanced, on Ali's shoulder. Nuzzling her cheek against Ali's, Silver gave another happy sound, making Ali giggle and playfully tap the eevee's nose as she ducked out into the hall. Following it until she reached the lobby of the apartment building, and then outside, she breathed in the fresh air, her eyes glowing happily as she breathed, "Much better. Come on, let's go look around again, maybe go down to the docks," she told Silver, at which Silver's ears twitched.

Avery sighed, then yelped in surprise when Trap suddenly snapped at his leg, getting his attention. "Trap," the young man scolded, sitting up and glaring at the still dancing totodile. "That wasn't nice!" Trap replied by dancing more, his tail wagging happily. Avery groaned, grumbling, "Sometimes I wonder what possessed me to choose you out of all the pokemon in the world..." Despite his words, the teen smiled at his pokemon, happy that Trap was happy. Very happy that he was happy actually, as Trap in a bad mood was someone to be feared.

After a brief breakfast with her mother and her two brothers, Judy decided that she and Tael would talk a walk around Castelia. It was supposed to be a beautiful day, and the young brunette intended to make the most of it. "What do you say, Tael? How about we head to the water so you can take a quick dip?" She suggested to her Pokemon who bounced up in down in agreement. Judy smiled with amusement at the Pokemon's actions before collecting Tael in her arm and heading to the door. "We're going to the docks for a bit; be back soon!"
And with that, the girl and her Pokemon exited the apartment complex and walked down the busy streets of Castelia City. "The forecast was right, Tael, it's beautiful out today," Judy noted. Tael bobbed her head in agreement, anxiously anticipating her upcomming swim.

Danny slung a backpack over his shoulder and swung the front door of his apartment wide open. With Pereth perched on his forearm and his supplies packed, the redhead was ready to go. "Dad, Pereth and I are heading out; see ya whenever we get back!" Before Danny could escape, an older man with graying hair and glasses appeared behind him, casting his son a warning glance. Danny sighed. "I know what you're going to say. I was kidding, Dad, learn to take a joke! I'll be sure to call." His father studied him briefly before offering him a small smile. "Just be safe, all right? And enjoy yourself." Danny grinned in response before taking a step back into the hallway. "Totally! Bye!"
Once he closed the door behind him, Danny walked down the hall and to an elevator a small walk away. After nodding and greeting a few familiar faces within the building, the young man exited the building. He glanced at his faithful Pokemon, still perched on his arm. "Anything you want to take care of before we head out, Pereth? Unfortunately, it's early," Danny resisted the urge to shudder dramatically, "and we've got a while before we leave."
If a swablu could shrug its shoulders, then Pereth most certainly did. Danny rolled his eyes. "You're hopeless, you know that?" He drawled fondly. Pereth chirped in agreement.

Ali made her way down to the docks, easily making her way along the busy streets where multiple people walked and where cars drove. Silver winced every time a car went by, hurting her sensitive ears and each time Ali patiently rubbed her ears to help in the loud noise. "It'll be quieter near the docks," Ali promised her companion, smiling reassuringly at her. Silver replied by wagging her silver tail happily, tilting her head. As the docks came into sight along with the ocean, Ali grinned, her eyes wide with wonder at the sight of the water. She liked water. Silver most certainly did not, jumping from Ali's shoulder and curling up on the docks.

Avery climbed to his feet, pulling Trap's pokeball from his belt and pressing the button in the center of it. "Time to go home, Trap," he told his totodile, who snapped his jaws shut and looked irritable at this. "We have to," Avery replied to his obviously annoyed pokemon. "Mom'll be looking for us. We need to watch the girl." The girl being his younger sister. After returning Trap to his pokeball, much to his disappointment after making a run for it, Avery tucked the pokeball back on his belt and started for home, thoughtful.

It didn't take long for Judy and Tael to reach the docks, seeing as the apartment complex that she lived in was located relatively close to the docks. It was a matter of convenience for her father that they lived so close due to his position as a sailor, but that didn't mean that there were no perks involved for Judy. The brunette loved the water--there was something calming about the gentle sounds of water waking against the concrete foundation of the docks. A smile pulled on her lips as she approached the end of one of the many docks of Castelia. "Here we are, Tael!" She announced joyfully before placing the azurill down on the ground. The water Pokemon hopped into the water and dipped under before setting with floating on top of her tail. Judy kicked off her sandals and laid them beside her before sitting down and dipping her feet in the water. "Feels nice, huh?" Judy commented; Tael cried out in agreement.
After a few serene minutes, Tael decided that she was done in the water and hopped out, sitting down beside her trainer. As Judy shook the beads of water off of her feet, she noticed a familiar face on the other side of the dock. She smiled and walked over to the girl. "Ali! Hey!"

After some banter with Pereth concerning what they would do before heading out, the duo decided that they would go to one of the many cafes scattered about Castelia. After all, Danny could certainly use some caffeine to wake him up (he was still tired from waking up an hour or so ago) and from the pecking at his shoulder, the redhead could tell that Pereth was hungry as well. The swablu had a habit of irritating Danny whenever he needed something. "We'll go to that one place on Main Street. You know, the one with the really good poffins from Sinnoh?" He stated. Swablu chirped something to which Danny narrowed his green eyes at. "Well of course it's my treat," Danny said dryly as if it was the most obvious thing on the planet. "I don't see any money on you, anyway."
So the young man and his Pokemon headed off to said cafe, Danny waving to people as he passed them on the streets. He smugly glanced at Pereth. "Tough being so popular. You'll get your debut on the big screen soon enough, buddy," Danny said arrogantly.
Pereth rolled his eyes in response.

Ali jumped in surprise, her eyes going wide as she jerked instinctively away, nearly making her topple into the water, but somehow remained upright and dry. Beside her, Silver bounded over to the familiar face, nudging her in greeting before dancing back over to her trainer, curling up in Ali's lap again as Ali panted for breath. "Jeez," she complained, though it lacked real annoyance. "You scared me. Don't do that!" Then she smiled, ruffling Silver's ears as she said, "Long time no see, hm? What are you doing out here, Judy?"

Upon reaching home, Avery was tackled by his younger sister and her pokemon, a growlithe, who followed Anaka, well, everywhere. When she played, the growlithe went with. When she was sleeping, the growlithe was in her bed, sleeping, too. When she went shopping with their mother, the growlithe, who'd his younger sister had claimed to call "Growler", being the young girl she was, went with as well. "You're getting big," Avery teased his younger sister, who beamed in response, chattering excitedly about what she wanted to do while their parents were working. When she mentioned going to look for new pokemon, he immediately said, "We're just going to stay inside today, okay?" She reluctantly agreed.

Judy giggled at Ali's reaction and knelled down to pet her eevee as the Pokemon bounded over to her. She smiled and sat down beside her friend and Tael waved a small arm in greeting to Ali and Silver. "My dad said he would be back as early as today so I wanted to greet him if he was here," she replied with a nonchalant shrug. "But there's no sign of him. Anyway, Tael wanted to take a dip in the water so that's pretty much why we came down here." She explained and leaned back, resting her hands behind her and putting all of her weight on them. "But yeah, it has been a long time, hasn't it?" Judy noted. "So what have you been up to?"

Once he and Pereth had rested in the cafe for about a half an hour, Danny suggested they go and buy some potions. "I know we're awesome, 'Reth, but it's probably a good idea to go and buy some supplies," he had claimed. Once again, Pereth rolled his eyes in response at his trainer's arrogance. After the duo's arrival at the Pokemon Center by the south side of town, they stocked up on anything they would need for their upcoming travels and sat on a bench outside of the building once they were finished. Pereth perched himself on Danny's right knee as the trainer organized his newly purchased rations into his bag. "...burn heals...paralyze heals...potions...repels, not that we'll really need those...and pokeballs...okay, Pereth, I think we've got everything!" Danny exclaimed before standing up sharply--Pereth almost fell off in the process but fluttered to the trainer's shoulder quickly. "Anything I possibly could have forgotten, buddy?" Danny asked. Pereth nodded in agreement and chirped loudly. The young man narrowed his eyes. "You want to say goodbye to Avery? Well, if that's what you want," he responded, and began to walk the familiar route to Avery's house and knocked on the front door once he arrived.
