Alright. No, I'm not here to come hate on wolves.
I do not want to start up a fight.
I've come here to clear up some misunderstandings.
I do in fact like wolves, they are indeed very amazing creatures.

Since when were we given the right to "control" populations? Animals did fine without us.

Because, if we didn't control it then other animals would go extinct because wolves are carnivores.

IKR! Wolves aren't mean... honestly though, so many people think they are ;n; I think fairy tales have something to do with it. -.-

Not fairy tales. Folklore. Some people do believe in folklore. That's just them, they believe in mythology; respecting other's opinions is essential. Because wolves are in fact wild and not meant to be domesticated. None are bloodthirsty. Each one of them want to live, and they deserve the right to live.

As Gravity said;; "If the wolf population is too high forests would die and other things would become extinct."
Wolves are carnivores. Some need to be hunted to help keep things in balance.
I love wolves. I am against hunting of endangered wolves, as well as against hunting for show.

Also, wolves are VERY popular, and not many truly hate them. And, there are other animals that are much more close to extinction; more than the wolf.

I like wolves, but, there are more animals that need saving, like the Amur Leopard, or the Cheetah, and other big cats. I mean, wolves are great, but don't show all your love towards them when other animals are very close to extinction. Plus, please don't say you hate people who hunt wolves, because, every animal needs to be hunted to keep down populations and prevent another animal from disappearing as well. I used to be one of those crazy wolf people, and I used to think that the only animal that needed saving was the wolf. But, I grew up and realized all these animals were more endangered and some already extinct. By me only raising money for the wolves instead of the other animals, I was part of making another species become extinct, and it broke my heart to know that. Also, 94% of the human population does not think wolves are mean vicious creatures. Wolves are very popular now, so it's more like 30% or maybe even 20%. I do not have a hate towards wolves, I just need to get my point across.

Humans should not mess with animal population. Animals bring balance to themselves. Carnivourous animals only take down the weak and old. That means that they take only enough to survive as well as keeping the herds healthy. They dont need us, especially when we hunt for sport and kill all of them, not just the old weak and sick. We call other animals a pest for stealing our food and living in our towns, when we kicked them out of their homes so they have no where else to go. In a way, humans are the only true pest. All animals have a role in life, keeping the balance one way or another.(before you ask, im an athiest.) Just my opinion and a little bit of fact.

actually, the saying 'wolves only kill the sick/weak/old' isn't completely true
wolves won't even kill a sick animal in most cases unless it has to, for starters.
though debating about overpopulation/hunting on an oekaki will only result in it getting locked - everyone has their opinions and it's better to just agree to disagree on subjects that people feel so strongly about, anyway.
