Actually.... She copied lines from actual photographs of horses. However, the designs are still hers. And the Equimagine horses are still special to some of us. We don't all have to hate her... I am sure her name has been dragged through the mud enough at this point.

I love the old lines.... and I also like the new lines. I am okay with the change but I can't say strongly enough how disappointed I am at both the way the change was handled, and the reactions of people on the site.

The designs weren't copied, and those are what got transferred and are still around to be admired.

Ugh. Even though it's a crime to commit art theft, please, please, let people like the drawing! I have heard "oh, but she traced!" argument so many times. The ones who like it have a right to have their opinion. My opinion was "I like them. For ethical sake, go ahead. If it's just visual sake, keep it." The voting was more for the visual sake, actually. (At least it seemed that way.)
It isn't right to jump on them. It isn't like real life where you get in trouble for aiding and abetting a criminal. This is a matter of opinion (and since it has already been done, it really isn't your business or your responsibility to be jumping on them. The earlier example was pretty good natured, but not way earlier in the discussion, before it was decided on.)

If anyone wants to be upset, be upset at Equimagine. But don't hold it against her. She probably forgot she traced, (which Tess mentioned) and just sent in some of her best work.

They've already started most of the change Unfortunately can't keep them do to legal issues, but some people saved all the images so they can remember them =3

It wouldn't make sense to change them and keep the old ones. I have some saved, but the site we put it on hasn't really gotten much done yet.

The line-art IS copied. The "painting" done inside of the stolen line-art isn't copied.
