This is it. Every year, right around this time, a huge group of familes pack up their things and leave their homes for nearly three weeks, twenty days to be exact, and venture off into the same camping spots they get every year. Sure, the mosquitos could carry you away some nights and you've got zero, count 'em, zero service bars on your phone, but the campsites are terrific and there's so much to do. People come in campers or tents, and some even skip all of that and rent cabins. The families that camp together all know each other, and the kids, that's you, are all rather close.



You're one of the group's teenagers. You and the others that you camp with have known each other for years now, and for the most part, you get along. Nobody's ever really dated, but there have been some definite crushes in the past. This year, more feelings are bound to blossom; they always do. Only time will tell what happens on this trip.

Genevieve Marie La'Fesh

Nickname:
She goes by a lot of nicknames. People tend to shorten her name to Gen just for convenience. She had people calling her Meadow for a while, but that never caught on like she wanted it to. Her group of friends back home all call her Big Sis or Little Sis, depending on their age.

Age:
17 years and 10 months, to be relatively exact.

Gender:
She doesn't really care all that much for gender, but recognizes her femaleness and embraces it.

Hair Color:
Red, though she dyes it even redder.

Eye Color:
Light blue, and she likes the colour.

Tattoos:
She's got a long, thin snake inked all the way up herleft side, so its head rests on her shoulder.

Piercings:
None but the standard double set on her earlobes. She likes to wear silver studs and (fake) feathers above all.

Personality:
Genevieve is as mellow as they come. She's relaxed when talking to just about anybody, almost a little bit too relaxed. She isn't afraid to speak what's on her mind, and this sometimes gets her into trouble with more conservative types. She switches between periods of veganism and vegetarianism, choosing to cut out all animal products in the spring and summer months, and only meat in the cooler months. She does it because she doesn't believe in things dying to sustain her life, and also because her body can't handle meat all that well and it would be easier just to cut it out of her diet. When she's got feelings for somebody, she's very up front about it and doesn't seem to fear rejection in the slightest.

History:
Gen grew up with very strict, conservative parents. When she was old enough to make her own descisions, they weren't happy with the ones she was making. Though she herself didn't partake in the act, many of her friends used drugs to have fun, and upon finding out her parents were horrified. After nothing changed, her relationship with her parents grew more and more stressed and she began to spend a lot of time at her aunts' farm. She treats the farm like a second home; they cleared out a room for her to stay in when she's over, buy enough food to feed three, and in return she helps out with the farmwork, though she generally avoids the tasks that involve the food animals and sticks more to planting, harvesting, and caring for the sheep. Her parents aren't the camping type, so she came here with her aunts.

Hobbies:
Music. While she picks things up easily and could learn to play most instruments quite quickly, the one's she's put a lot of practice into are the bass, the sitar, the oboe, the violin, and she's very close to mastering the harp. She's still shaky when she plays the violin. On top of her instrumental knowledge, she studies theory and sings. She's also very into art and sweing; she can draw a dress and then bring it to life on her sewing machine. Aside from clothing designs, she likes to draw animals and flowers.

Stuff I Wear:
Gen likes comfortable clothing. When she's not rocking a long skirt and a tank top, which she happens to do a lot, she's in beat up jean shorts and a big tee shirt, usually bearing the logo of one of the bands that were big in the 60's and 70's. With almost every outfit she wears, she's got these sandals on, simply because they're her favourite. On colder nights, she switches to long jeans and flowy tunics, all in earth tones.

[ ｎａｍｅ ] Okay so maybe 'Diane Young' isn't my real name, to be honest my name is Jessica Vincent Young O'Connor. But you can call me Diane Young, or Vince. My mum and dad named me Jessica after my aunt who was my dads twin who died in a car crash when they were 16. My dad was kind of a dead beat and treated me and my mum really badly so I don't want to go by something that has any connection to him. Vincent was my grandfathers name on my mums side, I was always really close with him and when I was younger he would take care of me a lot and read me fairy tales. Young is my mum's last name so that's why I kept it as the name I go by. O'Connor was my dads last name so again, I don't want any connection to him. I went by Vincent Young for along time before I heard the Vampire Weekend song Diane Young and thought it was cool that it sounded like "dieing young" and because I already said that my last name was Young I chose to be called Diane. When I was younger I went by Jessica, but because I was a tom boy when I was younger most people called me Jessie. I stopped letting people call me Jessica or any form of it when I was 11 and my father left my mother for good. I went by Vincent until last year when I changed it to Diane. Please, If you don't want to call me Diane, call me Vince or Vincent. Also, if you call me Jessica I will rip your head off.
[ ａｇｅ ] Im seventeen years of age. I like being my age, I like being young and have done so much. I was always told by old ladies that I had an old soul and a certain spark. I think I've seen far to much for how young I am but that's how the world works. I mean there was kids in my school who had never seen anything, who had been sheltered there whole live. I'm just so damn curious, that's my problem. Also having a fake ID probably doesn't help but who cares, my poison is Vodka and I probably can drink more then any guy my age. I started young and 'll never stop till Im under the ground! I mean, I was born 17 years ago in a bathroom, that's an interesting start to a life, dont 'cha think.

When I was little like 5 or 6 I didn't really understand gender roles so I would dress like a guy and play with the guys at my school but I'm a bit more feminine now.
[ ｈｉｓｔｏｒｙ ] John and Jane - Before I was born and before my mum and dad met my mum was the mayor's daughter, she was the prettiest girl in the small North Californian town. She got perfect grades, was head cheerleader, the perfect highschool popular girl only that she wasn't mean and rude as most stories depict head cheerleaders. She was nice and helped younger student and took a shift at the local library reading to little kids. My dad was a foster kid that a family in the town was fostering. He was your classic bad boy, leather jacket, motorcycle, drug addiction and all. He was also very handsome as well. When he and my mum started dating both families were against it and tried to split them up. My mum turned into a party girl, her grades slipped, she started drinking and doing drugs, she wouldn't be at home for days at a time and then one day they ran away from the perfect seaside town. They lived together for another year then my mum found out she was pregnant and nine months later I was born
Jessica - I was born on the rainy evening of February 15th 1996. My dad refused to take my mum to a hospital so I was born in a hospital so I was born in the bathroom of a terrible one bedroom apartment. I was my mothers pride and joy and my father hated me because I was pretty much a cock block. My mom would spend more time with me then him and he hated it so he would drug up my mother and in her high state she would forget about me and the would do - things. I wasn't taken very good care of and when I was five my father started beating me. I would show up to school with long sleeve sweaters on in the summer months and sit in the back of class without talking to anyone. By the third grade I had a few friends but they never understood why they couldn't come over. I just told them my house was being painted. My teaches started to worry about me and when My parents found out they took me out of school and moved. I was put into school again and this time kept my mouth shut so no one knew anything. When I was nine my mum took me away from dad, we moved to Seattle but she slipped into her drug addiction and six months later my she called my dad for help. That night he came and beat her so badly she almost died. I had to call 911 and I lied that we were robbed and a burglar did it. The police bought it and for the next two years I lived like how I was used too.
Vincent - My dad left us when I was 11 and I changed my name. Me and my mum moved back to California where I met my family from that side and they helped her get back on her feet. I was put into school and I had a pretty normal life. I had two best friends Lilly and Samantha. I got teased sometimes for having a 'boys' name but growing up how I did a I beat up anyone who picked on me or anyone weaker then them. When I was 14 my mum told me all of what happened with my dad and I got really depressed. I started cutting myself and tried to kill myself once. When my suicide attempt failed I turned to marijuana and alcohol to help my problems. My mum never knew but when I was 15 I had a false pregnancy and broke down. I broke off all the friendships I had and went back to being the kid at the back of the class for the next year. The next year I met a gut who reminded me of my dad and I fell back into drinking and my mum found out and helped me stop. I pretend I did but still drink sometimes.
Diane - In the last year I've started smoking and I drink a lot more but I know my limits. My mum has a stable job and I haven't heard anything from my day. Everything's good at the moment but I still have my scars.
[ ｐｅｒｓｏｎａｌｉｔｙ ] Diane is a very sarcastic and rude character. She will always make fun of you if she doesn't know you well. Her comments sting and trust me you don't want to be on her bad side. Even though her crude exterior is just a shell to keep her safe most people dislike her because they think she is a ... mean person. It is hard to get close to Diane because she pushes anyone close to her away in fear of getting hurt. It takes a determined person do befriend her and not a lot of people she knows are ready to put that much energy into a friendship. She is very secretive and private and even if you do manage to make her trust you which is very hard she will most likely not tell you anything. She has never been in a committed relationship because she hates what her dad did to her mother and no one has not gotten that close to her. When you do know her well Diane will protect you at all costs, because no matter how scared she is of getting hurt she is much more scared of seeing someone she cares about being hurt. She has a soft spot for little kids and will always be nice to them. Diane is also you typical party girl. She loves to drink and ... get intimate with random people. She doesn't trust easy and is actually very insecure about her looks and body, and mostly her scars.

Personality: First of all, Kat is spoiled rotten. She is an only child who gets anything she wants.
Her mom is a famous actress and singer, and her dad is a lawyer. So, she's rich, for one, and already slightly
famous. Her parents are hardly ever around, but this doesn't bother Kat one bit. Well, okay, sometimes she
gets a little lonely, but usually her credit card is all the company she needs. So basically, Kat is a "popular,"
and a spoiled brat. She's a junior and is going to be a senior next fall. She rules the school,
or at least that's what she likes to think. Just... don't get in her way!

Hobbies: "Well, um... I like to act. Duh. I'm pretty good, if I do say so myself. And I can
sing, too. I'm gonna be famous someday, like my mom. Maybe I'll be on Broadway, or in movies or TV, or a
singer/songwriter. Also, just for the record, I'm pretty smart, too. But pretend I never said that. I don't
want to be pinned as a nerd! Seriously, though, keep your mouth shut. I worked hard to create my personality,
and I'm not gonna have you mess it up! So pweez promise you won't get in my way? 'Kay thanks!"

Family: "Like I said, my mom is totally famous. She's, like, a worldwide popstar. I'm gonna be just like
her someday. And Daddy is a very successful lawyer. I could be like him someday too, if I wanted to. He's
always busy, but when he's not, he's cool. He's a super-genius, too! Plus I have no siblings. Nada. Which is
awesome! It means I get all the attention, all the time! I don't have to share my spotlight, and that's just how I
like it."

History:Kat's history is that of your average, stereotypical rich kid. She's grown up being completely
and utterly spoiled. She's been taught that she can get anything she wants, no matter the circumstances.
This can become a problem when school comes into play. Kat has nearly failed many classes, not because she
isn't smart, but because she doesn't care one ounce about school, and thus she doesn't try. Her parents,
however, would always find a way to get their little girl out of trouble. Everyone thinks that Kat isn't ready
for the outside world because of this special treatment, and maybe she isn't, but she's completely oblivious.
