"Um, excuse me?" Darwin sneered at the blind boy's remark. His eyes narrowed and he stared the young man straight in his pale, ghostly eyes. He hated being treated like he was stupid, and there was more to this situation than seeing it. "There's these things called ears," he started, taking a step towards him. "And perhaps, you know since we're in an asylum, you might know what's wrong with her and what she might have done to herself just because things happen here." His heart started to pound and his head went all fuzzy. He had a momentary lapse in attention, losing his balance for a mere millisecond. He was getting too angry, and the last thing he wanted was another Sylar incident. Cameron would never let him forget it if he got them locked in a padded room. They'd managed to avoid it thus far.
His eyes came to focus on Erica's face, and a small drop of blood dripped from his nose. He cursed under his breath, looking from her to the guard as he pulled the collar of his shirt up to wipe it away. "Sorry, Cam, I'm trying," he murmured in his head, to a person that couldn't even hear him. He had it under control, though. His temper usually lasted all of ten seconds. The guard was advancing on them, and Darwin looked down to the girl. She seemed weak and injured, but still okay. Darwin wondered what had landed her in here. Something from Cameron's memory spiked his mind, and he felt a faint hint of suicide or self harm when he looked at her. His eyebrows perked when she glared at him.
