Anyone interested? I'll make more characters and also think of plenty more relationships like this.

I am. :3 Used to run a forum I made for a group with the same general idea, except it also involved a jousting tournament, political intrigue from a border nation, overly taxed citizens, and rebellious young men seeking change and going about it with thievery.

The Semi-Literate & Literate Roleplayer's Club (V2)

Postby - serendipity » Sat Jun 29, 2013 3:46 am

zuchi ;; i'm very interested in the first one ^^

I'M LOOKING FOR A ONEXONE ;; okay so i've always been interested in peter pan (fun fact: specifically the lost boys) and recently, ie today, i made a character that i would really like to roleplay. i made her without any connections to any roleplay or anything, except that i really liked the concept of this image i had in my head and wanted to make that image into a person. i did and, thus, said person can be found here. now i've made her i would really, really, like to roleplay her with a specific plot in mind. i won't detail the plot here (because i don't want to waste anyone's time unless your definitely interested in knowing more) but will give a few bits of information out. it'll be a high semi-lit/low literate roleplay: four/five paragraphs, consisting of nine-ten lines, each post, mainly focusing on character development and description - with some plot development entwined throughout. it'll have a feathery feel to it: now i know that sounds a bit weird but hear me out - i want it to have a very light, alice in wonderland/peter pan/narnia feel to it, hinting at magical elements but never really exploring them (unless we think it would further the plot), and also the characters to be just as flawed as those portrayed in fairy tales. i want it to be steady and not die etc. etc.: i think this is quite obvious but i also would like to point out that whilst i want it to be active i might not be able to post every single day and i would like a partner who understands that. romance won't be primary: it will be there, yes, but won't be the aspect on which the roleplay focuses. i think that's everything you really need to know but i don't know but i have a plot so if interested pm me or respond on here, etc.

Would anyone like to do a Hannibal-based roleplay with me? :/

I’ve never watched but I love the concept…
Maybe a detective who is assisted or friends with the criminal/murderer he’s trying to track down.
And they are complete bros and no mushy romance just lots of dark humor and stuff.

(*crawls out from corner*
I was accepted a short while ago to this club, but I've been alternately quite busy and devoid of much reason to post. But, I decided to check the thread today, and found my interest piqued.)

@witch., I would love to take part in a Hannibal-based roleplay with you! I have watched the show, and I adore it (excepting the mildly gratuitous and disturbing violence). The premise is beyond awesome, and they pulled it off amazingly. And dark humour is my favourite, which might be saying something not entirely positive about me. XD

Since most (actually, I think all) of the people I roleplay with are in this club, I figure I'll post here:

I literally wore out my keyboard (the rubber nibs used to press the board underneMath are discernable shorter on the frequently used keys). So my keyboard is dead. I'm currently borrowing a different keyboard where the e's work, but the action is so stiff on it that it gives my fingers cramps with two hundred word posts. o.o A new keyboard is in the mail (woot) and it should be much nicer to type on. Until it gets here, my posting will be sporadic and short, at best. I can still write, but only on my ratty netbook which I'm afraid to connect to the internet because of the endless stream of updates it wants to install every time I connect it. ><

Just an FYI for y'all.
INSANELY BUSY!
I am moving! For the next month or so, I am going to be so very busy.
If I'm on here, it's because I'm unwinding with writing or pets or whatever.
Please do not add to my stress, if you can. Your support is appreciated.

Looking for one x ones in the following plots – please pm me if you’re interested as I can’t keep up with the thread. I prefer to roleplay on AS. I'm about to head off to bed so I'll read any replies tomorrow morning.

Blood Ties
In the middle ages, there was a couple who were married when very young, barely eighteen. The man a Duke of York; and the woman a Lady were a very beautiful couple and admired by many – unfortunately that led to jealousy. One particular woman, a witch, was incredibly jealous and cursed the couple. The curse was that the couple would turn into vampires, that sunlight would burn their pretty faces, that they would need the blood of humans to keep their eternal youth... The couple were forced apart by vampire hunters many centuries ago. The man, tortured by vampire hunters for information, he finally managed to escape a few years later but has lost sight from his eyes as they were burned with holy water. The woman was forced to flee overseas and grew up in another culture, on the outskirts of a society as she hid from the sun. The pair are just about to reunite in modern times as they meet by chance – however the witch is also an immortal being and is keen to break the pair of them apart at every turn.

Unknown Realities
When someone asks you if you're fine, even though deep down you're frozen with fear and upset enough to fill an ocean with tears, you always say 'I'm fine'. When someone drops you from a plan you've been looking forward to for weeks you say 'that's okay', but deep down you want to scream. You've never been confident, always hiding away in your bedroom, in world of fantasy produced by books. When you need to hide from abusive parents or obsessive bullying, from your failing grades and your loss of enjoyment in life, you always turn to that special dog-eared book that you carry everywhere with you.

Two shy and terrified teenagers have always hidden their feelings within the pages of their favorite novel - Unknown Realities. They all attend the same school - Century Comprehensive in the rolling countrysides of England. They may live with their parents, or board at the school.

The teenagers have incredible imaginations however, and such heightened imaginations and sad emotions have linked the teenagers together through their books. None of them understand that when they open their book and are transported to the fantasy land of their book, it's not their imagination anymore, they've made it real. They also don't realize that the other person they meet in this world is the other teenager who faces problems as difficult as their own.

---

Each person will need to play two characters, a shy character in the real world and also their confident fearless other half in the fantasy world. The characters may or may not know each other around school, but eventually will begin to meet up but not understand that they share their fantasy world. The characters in the fantasy world may or may not know each other and are incredibly confident.

Both 'real' and 'fantasy' characters will look different to each other and have different names to each other, but their will be something that links them together. For example - both have hair dyed blue, or both have a scar in the same place.

The fantasy world lies within the pages of a book called Unknown realities, it's a lot like living in the middle of a city but it's abandoned and lies in ruin. The characters of the fantasy world are armed with weapons and regularly fight.

The real world lies within a boarding school where some students have the option to live with parents too. The school is very strict and there's not much of a creative outlet for it's students.

Secrets and Lies

"Do you remember that time that we were best friends? Can you remember it? When you thought you knew everything about me and I knew everything about you? I remember that time, but now you must know, everything that you know about me is a lie...

I'm not a sixteen year old school school kid, I'm not an average student, I'm not useless in PE, I'm not called Lisa Thompson, I don't work at the cafe on the corner, I don't live with my parents and my little sister, my parents are dead, I'm actually eighteen, I was once employed by the governement as a brilliant child assassin. I'm only here so I can hide myself from their detection, I've been in hiding from them for the last five years. Yeah... Have I destroyed our friendship yet...?

Problem is. I'm in big trouble...

And unfortunately so are you.

You see, my last job was to investigate and shut down a cooperation that we thought were testing bad things on animals. Turns out, they were hording chemicals that they wanted to use to reshape the face of the planet. And I know their secret, so they want to kill me... And they want to kill you too. And they finally found out where I am.”

this is probz a stupid question

Postby sunday; » Sat Jun 29, 2013 9:51 pm

[[ this is probably the most stupidest question ever, but i'm really confused as to something:
in the second or third person, surely it's still first person? 'cause, i mean, there has to be
someone to observe the "he did this" or "she did that" or "you nod" or whatever.. right?
