Welcome to the Sand Surfers first adoption center. Here you will find the creatures of the desert, the Sand Surfers. All premade Sand Surfers are free of cost, and open to all. These fantastic lines were created by the wonderful and fabulous TheCalicoTabby.


Sand Surfers are small, furry creatures that stand about a twenty inches tall, fifteen inches long, and weigh an average of seven pounds for both genders. These animals are native to the deserts of Egypt, India, and Africa. The Sand Surfer's coat is thin and soft, making for easy travel across the sand. You may have noticed the large tail at the ends of their bodies. Sand Surfer's use their muscled tail to "surf" across sand in the desert. These creatures live mainly underground in complex tunnels that are about five feet below the surface to keep cool. Sand Surfers are omnivores, meaning they eat both meat and plant material. A common food of the species are small rodents, small birds, small reptiles, berries, grasses, and nuts. They also eat eggs of other animals when they can get their hands on them.

➤ Be nice, we don't need people battling to the death over something simple. If that happens, we run the risk of getting this topic locked or deleted.
➤ No complaining if you don't get the one you wanted. Not everyone can win the same Sand Surfer, but everyone will win at one point c:
➤ I appreciate the help around the thread, but please don't mini-mod.
➤ Do not bribe the artist, it will get you a suspension or ban.
➤ You may own up to six adult Sand Surfers and four offspring.
➤ Please use your common sense.
➤ If you feel as if a comment or remark will get you in trouble, don't post it, as it probably will.
➤ Try not to spam.
➤ Don't ask to be an artist, I have already have artists for the species.
➤ Have fun, it may be the cheesiest rule, but it comes in handy.


➤ Make only one design per day, we don't want your ideas to run dry.
➤ Please let me know if you can no longer be an artist, or need a break.
➤ If you have three unadopted Sand Surfers, don't make any more until they're adopted.
➤ If you plan on making a rare Sand Surfer, run it through me first.
➤ Make sure to count the number of Sand Surfer's correctly.

Full time artists may make an unlimited amount of premade Sand Surfers and customs for the species. Each artist can make themselves one custom, and own up to seven full grown Sand Surfers and four offspring.


➤ You must be accepted by me before you can create any Sand Surfers.
➤ Guest artists are able to create one custom, for themselves or for someone else. They can make four premade Sand Surfers during a two week period.
➤ Guest artists slots are not first come first serve. Guest artists are picked by your designing/artist skills.
➤ If your designs are liked enough, you may become a full time artist. This is not guaranteed though.
➤ Guest artists are not allowed to create rare or special Sand Surfers.
➤ If you have not created the amount of designs allowed in the two weeks given, you may not continue to design.


➤ Don't spam, harass, or beg any of the artists for a custom.
➤ Don't repost you form.
➤ Don't rush an artist for a custom, we all have lives, and not everything can be done instantly.
➤ If you custom is not accepted, don't complain about it.
➤ Only one custom per person.
➤ Customs are not first come first serve, the artist will choose if they want to do your custom.
➤ Don't make your custom too complicated to the point where you can't recreate it.
➤ Please put the artist of your choice in your form.


First click on the oekaki version of the Sand Surfer you wish to adopt. After this, read through the description by the artist about the specific Sand Surfer. Fill out the form made by the artists, or create your own if told by the artist. Forms can contain many different contests, from creating the best name, making an art piece, or even posting first! Hopefully, you will win the Sand Surfer of your choice and be able to add it to your collection!

Customs are Sand Surfers designed by you, and created by an artist. Just fill out a simple form, make sure to complete all of the form and be as detailed as you can when describing what you want. The artists you chose will then create your Sand Surfer and post it once you have sent the payment. (See each of the artist post to get extra information, like prices, availability, and the form.)

Stamps are a common, yet effective way to advertise an adoption center. They are small, but get the word out. Not much else to say about myself really... I might as well tell

.la fin. owns and runs the species, but I still stick around to make designs!

I'm not making customs at the moment, but I will take suggestions for designs! Just keep in mind that just because you suggested it doesn't mean you automatically get the Sand Surfer.
