(means 'innocent one' in Latin)
Her name is Laveda. Although she is often called Lavender by mistake for the two words sound similar and she has a purple colour to her: most assume she just pronounces her name wrong when she introduces herself.
When someone gets to know her they may shorten her name to Lala or Luvvie as it's easier to say a nickname.

Unfortunately I do not own a Marble Cat.
I hope to win this beautiful girl and have her fill that first spot in my heart that I have reserved for Marble Cats.

I decided instead of a short story
I'd have her personality written out since I feel this captures her better
than the short story I was going to have.

She is very dutiful and compassionate however she doesn't quite get how to soothe or console someone. Laveda is not very wise; she doesn't learn from other's mistakes and will repeat the same mistakes she herself has made in the past. In that way she struggles to learn how to improve herself and to not make the same mistakes again. She's not impulsive, but many assume she is due to her outgoing and carefree appearance at first glance.
Rather proud and sensitive about certain things; painting and cooking for two examples. In fact those are her favourite things to do. She's not much better than average in both of those however.
Due to her dutiful nature she is quite responsible and others can easily rely on this.
Laveda doesn't have a strong imagination despite being exceptionally clever as she prefers reality over fantasy: as a young kit she never really wanted to develop her creativity and now she finds it too bothersome to try and expand her small imaginative skills.
In only recent times has she fallen in love with painting so she struggles to come up with new ideas for pictures on her own; Laveda mostly copies the scenery around her than painting anything imaginative.
She's not very strong in regard to her will so she will give into demands and the like very easily.
Laveda has a tendency to be quite cynical which makes her quite difficult to approach to start with let alone being able to become friends with someone. However she's not particularly lonely; perhaps she has never experienced anything like friendship so she does not know what she's missing out on enough to feel the emotion of 'loneliness'.
She also has a bit of a problem with trying to find her individuality: she does not think she stands out at all and just blends into the background so much she disappears. This greatly worries her, but she's not sure on how she can overcome this.

You can see she has an immature streak when you place icecream in front or near her as she just adores the frozen treat. It's even better when the icecream is covered with some of the fruit and/or nectar of the plants she eats along with several bits of human fruit that she's fond of. Her favourite icecream flavour is blackberry forest ripple.

And here goes my poem. :p I decided to call it "Fireflies".
The fireflies flutter and dance as their bodies glow.
Where are they going, you ask? Only the fireflies know.
They swirl dizzily as the smoke flows around them in the night,
helpless yet still not willing to put out their fiery light.
The determined fireflies will not give up without a fight.
Fireflies, fireflies, o why do you shine so bright?

Personality - Velvet is sweet and fun loving, she enjoys listening to music and watching her humans dance or play video games. She even tries to dance a bit herself once in awhile. She is sociable and gets along well with other Marble Cats and people but she is also a little self-centered and loves when her humans play with her or groom her. She is a bit spoiled as well and often gets new toys to play with, she even has her own little areas in the livingroom, bedroom, and out on the porch where she spends much of her time.
