She slipped her invitation into the small box just outside the main doors of the estate entrance and took a deep breath. You can do it, Cari. Be brave. With that, the cream-and-gold Kiamara stepped into what seemed to be a fairyland forest! Her mouth dropped open of its own accord as her eyes took in all of the wondrous decorations. Floating lights above refreshment tables twinkled in different colors while little glowing mushrooms peeked from beneath table clothes. She held her hands together before her chest, squealing softly in delight.
"Oh my good gables...this is marvelous!!!" The room seemed to be mostly empty of other Kiamaras and a door beyond, looking oddly striped like a candy cane, beckoned to her across the length of the tiled floor. Glancing about, she set herself on a path to walk through the candy-like doors and decided that punch would be a necessary confidence-booster on the other side. A brief moment of darkness and then she was regaled with a blast of powder to her face. Coughing and wiping the fine substance off her cheeks as best she could, she licked her lips and paused again, shocked to find that it tasted like powdered sugar. Blinking, she realized that this next area was themed by sugary sweets! "That's...a lollipop tree! Oh, and candy corn! Oh, chocolate!" She espied the gurgling chocolate fountain and immediately began to thread her way towards it. Hard round objects on the ground poked at her feet and she realized, with another surprised raise of her eyebrows, that she was stepping on jellybeans. Surely there wasn't a jellybean fight or something... At the chocolate fountain, she grabbed a lusciously-red strawberry and dipped it in the molten sweet. It tasted like heaven to her and she quickly finished it off, cleaning the extra chocolate from her paw-tips. Small cups of punch stood nearby and she picked one up; it tasted like sweet pink lemonade. Her warm-pink mane puffed and settled with pleasure as she took another sip. She took a moment to pause and enjoy how impossibly-possibly halcyon this area had been thus far; she never would have guessed that one room would be charmingly devoted to cavities! There were more Kiamaras here than in the other room, some holding umbrellas, some holding punch cups like hers. Little tidbits of conversation made their ways to her sharp ears and before she knew it, she had turned in the direction of a parting group of Kiamaras, who had said - she could have sworn they said - something about...dragons?! You're kidding me... Glancing about, she kept her warm-amethyst eyes on the group and followed discreetly at a distance until she realized they were headed for another new door. Beyond, in the darkening depths of the revealed tunnel, crystals glowed and pulsed their lights. Wow...maybe they weren't kidding. Setting her empty punch cup on a nearby table, Cari smoothed down her deep-emerald-green dress and stepped into the semi-darkness.
She could see torchlights flickering far ahead in the tunnel and realized that that was likely the only group of Kiamaras in this section. Everyone else seemed to want to mingle with the candy corn. Glancing back over her shoulder, she took a deep breath and then continue onwards. She hadn't seen any sign of any dragons at all yet, not even footprints, but...it was awfully messy in here. Broken and tarnished weapons and shields lay everywhere; little glints of gold peeked from under piles of dirt and behind rocks. This could be a dragon's den... she thought as she chewed on a nail. I have to remember this for my articles next week. She padded softly onwards, listening to the garbled conversations ahead. As she rounded a corner, she came across the group in question. It was one female Kia, brown and pink splotched with a short lacy pale-lavender dress; one male Kiamara, all shades of brown, in a simple black tux; and another male Kiamara, colored like a goldfish, in a deep-blue tux. Two were wearing crowns even. It made her smile and she stepped into the reach of the torchlight with a spoken greeting.
"Hello! You must be the brave explorers I keep hearing about."

Carita's wine-hued eyes flickered to each Kiamara in turn, doing her best to match names with faces; she was terrible at names...but she would do her best! What on earth were they doing? Mud wrestling...? But that would ruin their nice clothing... she mused as she turned her attention back to Luster. She realized that his color scheme was actually more towards a grey-brown; the torchlight had been deceiving.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Luster - Hermione - and Ocean." She looked at each Kiamara in turn, trying again to memorize names with faces. "I'm Carita Pennywhistle, but you can call me Cari. Believe me, you definitely are the brave explorers! I didn't see anyone else when I walked in. I'm glad you have torches. I wouldn't want to be wandering around here in the dark." The fiery lights twinkled off of the crowns atop Hermione and Ocean's heads and Carita was struck with a pang of envy. "I wish I could find something fun like your crowns. Maybe a bracelet or something..." she murmured with a half-smile.

breathed a sigh of relief. "Knives! Knives seem like a great idea...so does running. Hopefully not while being chased by a dragon." She smiled at Nonay and marched up to the door. "You first, though!"
